The staff are really really nice (restaurant and reception). The pool is lovely, nicely laid out in the adult area. I had woken up multiple times with bites on my skin (hands and thigh) I asked for some advice off a nurse on what bites they were and she had explained these were bed bug bites.. I had a couple of restless nights unfortunately. I’ll get some cream to sort it out but I think the beds&rooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly.

Arrival: Stefan provided an extremely warm welcome, checked in with no issues and assisted with luggage to our room. Due to late arrival we were offered food from the restaurant even though it was not officially open. Room (family): large, clean, basic with good air con. Ideal for what we needed. One minor issue was resolved within 5 mins of reporting. Pool areas: Adult pool: Very nice, clean, quite a few steps, slippery in places, comfy beds available all day and fresh melon brought round by the staff which was welcome. Drinks and snacks were adequate and always service with a smile from the staff. Kids pool: Bit more outdated sun beds and general look, but more than adequate clean area for fun round the pool. Food: Could not fault, always a decent quality selection of hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Over the space of ten days I was able to easily select a suitable meal. Tables always available and the staff are quick to reconfigure tables to suit group size. Staff: Very friendly and could not do enough for us. They work so hard and provide a great service. Location: 5 min walk to the beach and main ***** via underpass. Even better if: Improved evening entertainment schedule Free safe, rather than paying. Free pool towels Would I recommend: Yes for a family holiday or relaxed break in the sun. Certain rooms and areas are not ideal for people who struggle walking up/down steps.

Be aware, found out after arrival the hotel upgrade guests on the 1st night to pool rooms saying original standard rooms not ready, then offer the pool room at 1/2 price for rest of stay, very sneaky! Unless you have 300€ spare. Hotel okay, nothing to do until 6pm when main bar opens. Other bars are either at kids pool down lots of steps with very little seating or walk through adult pool area, great if you want a pool day but, if not your stuck for something or somewhere to go for a drink/coffee. Food was lovely with good choice. Rooms clean, staff all lovely. You have to walk through an underpass to get to beach okay in day but wouldn’t want to do it at night, very little lighting. Evening entertainment non-existent only one night round kids pool.

The location of the hotel is fabulous , the food was lovely and all the staff in the restaurant and bars were mostly very friendly and welcoming there was always nice food available and bar snacks throughout the day !we never had problems getting a sunbed the pool decking is in poor condition and it’s nails sticking out and broken ! However we booked a family room for 4 which was located on the top floor the room was tiny (it was definitely for 2) the balcony was tiny for 2 people the room was unsafe for young children with railings very low! The air conditioning broke several times which leaked onto our electrical equipment! It was very basic and old ! However it was clean and the cleaners always did a good job ! I did. Raise the issue on arrival and throughout the holiday but reception staff didn’t seem bothered ! I did meet familys who this was there second visit there rooms were lovely they should have an option to book a basic fam room or a nicer fam room as ours was very poor! For this reason I won’t return !

What an amazing holiday we had at Katrin . Staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble, room was cleaned every day. There was me, my husband, daughter and boyfriend. We had 2 rooms in the adults only area and it was fantastic. Jet pool was so relaxing just what we needed and a 2 minute walk from the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. I would definitely return not a bad word to say. Food was enjoyable and always something for everyone.

My family and I spent an amazing week at the Katrin, the staff were super friendly and no request was too much, the shots of Raki after dinner were a highlight! Adult pool and bar were fab, we didn’t use the kids pool Good choice of food and something for everyone, snacks during the day were great and the waiter service of melon around the pool was a nice touch. Being able to serve yourself soft drinks and beer and wine meant no queuing which we liked. The rooms are spacious and spotless, all areas cleaned everyday and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Evening’s are quiet but we were happy with a drink and a game of pool. Location wise only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and shops and plenty of bars and restaurants. All in all I would recommend to everyone, fantastic value for money and a lovely holiday Thank you
