Ocean House

I recently stayed at Ocean House in St Ives, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and the town center. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. The house itself is beautifully designed, with a cozy and modern feel. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable with fresh linens, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The en-suite bathroom was spotless, with a powerful shower and quality toiletries provided. The room also had a kettle, tea, and coffee, which was a nice touch. The communal areas were well-maintained and inviting. The lounge had comfortable seating, and the shared kitchen was fully equipped. It was convenient to have a space to prepare meals, especially for longer stays. The terrace was a highlight, offering stunning sea views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Overall, Ocean House is a wonderful place to stay in St Ives. It offers comfort, great amenities, and stunning views. I would highly recommend it and would love to visit again.

I was switched to this accommodation at the last minute when my booked stay became unavailable. On arrival I was very pleased. I found it very convenient for the Railway Station and St Ives Town Centre. There is a short, very steep climb, but it could be avoided by taking the longer way round if walking. The front of the property overlooks the harbour, with a stunning view. Access is by entry code. I received clear instructions in advance. The property was spotlessly clean and my room very comfortable, nicely decorated with shower, toilet and wash hand basin. I visited early in the season and there was plenty of heat to keep me cosy on the chilly evenings. There is a well equipped shared kitchen. The accommodation made my stay in the beautiful harbour town of St Ives very comfortable and enjoyable.

The best view in St Ives. The best view in the whole of St Ives. The rooms were very clean and had all mod-cons. There is a shared kitchen on site and access to washing facilities and cooking.

Bed bugs We found our bed had bed bugs on our second night. A handful of adult bugs full of blood. En-suite (cupboard with a toilet and shower) was tiny, and water pressure was awful. Location was good, but I'm still itching from the thought of the bugs. 1*

Pretty good value. Quite good. Probably as good as could be expected. Little limited on space but the communal kitchen was a bonus. Great views and pretty quiet. And very convenient. No real complaints.
