Really nice hotel. Location is up on the hill. If you come by train, you have to climb stairs to reach the hotel.
Breakfast is nice especially the hot food that made upon order.
Enjoyed the scenery while having breakfast
The staff maybe need to be more friendly.

The hotel is on a high slope, facing the sea, with beautiful scenery. The hotel has free parking service, just park the car in front of the hotel. Just ask the staff to stop it. This time I booked a family suite, the only flaw is that the room is relatively small. Breakfast is a traditional English breakfast. The taste is still pretty good. Downhill from the hotel is the beach, where you can walk by the beach and play in the water.

Have stayed harbour Salcombe and Bristol and eaten at Fowey many times. We found St Ives not up to standard of the other hotels. We understand that it is busy season but cleanliness was poor, tables although cleared were not wiped, floors left with crumbs and debris. Bedroom should be spotless but was dusty in places as was the bathroom. All the stall were excellent but probably not enough of them on duty. It seems like it’s up to Harbour management to employ more people

Very tired hotel. Fairy poor breakfast with slow service, queues, unpleasant Continental breakfast choices (the bread was laughable), and dirty chairs to sit on. Bar area is dirty and unserved - dead heather pots on the tables, no snacks / crisps, mismatched / chipped glasses said it all really. Spa is small and the relaxing room feels dirty & forlorn (rather sad blue twinkly fair lights bring it down to the feeling of a waiting room at a takeaway restaurant). The bedroom was reasonable & bathroom well appointed.

Overall we had a really nice stay at the Harbour Hotel St Ives. We had a beautiful sea view and found all the staff very friendly and accommodating. The location is great, on the top of the hill near the centre and the Spa was really good and clean. However the hotel falls below the 'luxury' level as may have been anticipated by its reputation and price point. Potential improvements: - Breakfast - Offer a cooked breakfast as standard (the £10 surcharge for a hot breakfast is cumbersome and the 'free' continental breakfast is drab). - Parking - Offer parking for free, and not £10 per night, given the again cumbersome process to park outside on a busy road and then a valet service to move the car is a hassle, so to pay for this on top doesn't feel right. - Luggage - Trolleys for Bags/Luggage. Getting the bags across the street, into the reception and then up to the room, even with the help of the staff, was a stress. A nice trolley would be a more formal way of doing this. So a few tweaks and this could be a 5*! Would return :)

Visited the terrace for afternoon tea and pizza for the children. Beautiful setting, fantastic views. The staff were excellent. Despite there being a wedding on we were well looked after. The food was brought swiftly and it was to a very good standard. Thank you to Ross who looked after us. Definitely worth a visit!
