Hotel Indigo Spokane Downtown

Old hotel near by the train bridge.noisy.squeaky floor,whole family woked by last customer’s 6am alarm.horrible experience after all.

The exterior and lobby are gorgeous and transport you back in time— definitely Instagram worthy. It’s very central, close to lots of activities and restaurants. Valet parking available for $30 was convenient and worth the extra charge. Our room on the 3rd floor had a modern-industrial aesthetic, was very clean and quiet, with no noise from other guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel smelled really good. On the downside, there wasn’t a mini fridge or microwave, and the blackout curtain had a big gap, allowing the street light to shine right in my face all night. That was a bummer. Despite that, we’d definitely stay here again!

As hotels go this was a very fun place to stay! The room is appointed nicely! The original building has had a make over and yet still retains some of the original flavor. The hallways reminded me a bit of the ‘Overlook Hotel’ in Stanley Kubrick’s ‘The Shining’ which we got a kick out of. Overall a really fun and interesting accommodation. The in-hotel restaurant, ‘Dona Magnolia’ was good but service was a tad slow. Overall it was a nice stay, architecturally fun but in a slightly weird location in Spokane. As many places seem to be struggling to find staffing this was no exception. They could certainly use a few more people. One caveat; we were located on the side by the train yard. It didn’t bother our sleep at all but if you are sensitive to sound or a light sleeper, ask to be located away from that side.

Friendly staff. Great location, Hotel is located walking distance to downtown, Riverfront Park ,Spokane Falls, Knotting Factory, and Fox Theater to mention some locations. If you are a light sleeper request a room away from the train tracks, I arrived a Sunday I didn’t hear any trains, but on Monday there was quite a few, I just heard the ones in the day time, but I’m not a light sleeper, so I’m not sure if there was a lot of trains at night.The room doesn’t have refrigerator, it was very hot the days I stay there it would’ve been nice to be able to keep cold drinks in the room. There are ice machines, but a small fridge will work better in my opinion. I didn’t ask the front desk if they had any upon request. There is a microwave at the lobby, they have disposable utensils and a small snack bar. Overall a nice hotel, decor takes you back to olden times. Will definitely come back when in the area. Sadly this was a bad experience on many levels. The location of this hotel is just outside the downtown core enough to where the neighborhood is sketchy and we did not feel safe walking back from dinner. Due to my husband’s disability, we had an accessible room and learned that the accessible rooms are on the side of the building that is literally a half block from the railroad tracks. We got no sleep as trains passed several times an hour throughout the night and sounded as if they were traveling through the hotel room! Since sleeping was impossible we decided to check out very early, only to learn that there was no valet to retrieve our car. The desk host was kind enough to waive our $30 parking fee and walked with me in the dark a few blocks to personally retrieve my car. Lots of potential issues at this location so be aware.

I had a wonderful stay at this historic boutique hotel in Downtown Spokane. The staff and customer service were both excellent (frankly, I got warm, friendly service everywhere I went in Spokane), and the room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the Downtown/Riverfront area in a very walkable neighborhood not far from the public library, Riverfront Park, retail shops, bars, excellent restaurants, and the entertainment district. As it was Inlander Restaurant Week, I had a lot of great dining options to choose from, so I wasn’t too disappointed that the hotel restaurant is currently not in operation. I come to Spokane at least once a year for conferences, and I will definitely return to Hotel Indigo in the future. Highly recommend!
