Lovely hotel but avoid Room 1 A beautiful hotel in a great location for seeing all the sights Split and getting to fabulous restaurants and bars. It has been recently upgraded and everything has been done to a very high standard. We booked 2 rooms and stayed in room 1 and room 3. We paid more for room 3 (which is on the first floor) but are unclear why there is a price difference as it is identical in every way to the cheaper room 1. Our biggest issue was the noise in room 1 which is accessed from a door beside the hotel reception desk. There is no sound insulation and we could hear everything said in the reception from our room while reception was open 8am to 8pm. This room also has a window directly onto a street and despite having the windows closed at night we could hear people and motor bikes practically the whole night. It was so bad on our second night my mum didn’t get to sleep until 4am due to the noise. The third issue creating noise is there is a patio door from the room into the breakfast room so more noise as soon as breakfast service started. Other family staying in room 3 were not affected by noise issues so I think the problem is this room. I would stay in the hotel again but not in room 1!
