Location: perfect, it's connected to the JR station. Just get down the escalator, turn left and the lift brings you direct. Service : excellent! When we checked in, the guy couldn't speak much English but tried his best and we figured out everything perfectly fine. There's this lady, Anisha(?) who helped us greatly with our luggage transfer to Tokyo. Room : 5* quality rooms but it very much could be because it's new. I hope they do maintain the rooms well. Amenities were great too. Onsen: I'm not too sure if I'm being biased here but felt that the water here feels great on the skin. It felt like 5* indulgence as they even has a counter in which you deposit your stuff. And you don't even have to bring your own bath towel there! Overall wonderful find! I would want to go back there and stay and maybe try their beauty treatments but it's a long way to fly there

I arrived after 14:30, but I was kept waiting until the check-in time of 15:00. The staff in the front area rushed around. I started to have a bad feeling about this kind of inn because it doesn't have a working system. The facilities are old, but the rooms are clean. The spring quality of the hot spring is sodium, calcium, sulfate, and chloride, and is weakly alkaline with a pH of 8.21. Metasilicic acid is high at 131.6 mg/Kg, so it has high moisturizing power and is a hot spring for beautiful skin. The abalone steamed in sake (optional) for dinner was excellent, but the other dishes were ordinary. Sweet chawanmushi is not available. Is breakfast like a business hotel? It's not limited to this inn, but even though it's a seaside inn, the fish is salmon. Overall, it was an inn without a sense of extraordinary, but the panoramic view of Mutsu Bay and the Tsugaru shamisen concert at night were extraordinary. One more point, there is a large hall-like room on the first floor, but the inside is a messy storeroom. What's more, the door is made of glass, so you can see inside. Ambiguous management attitude can be seen. wake up. disappointing.

In July, when the weather was beginning to get quite hot in Tokyo, we decided to escape the heat and crowds by spending a few days in Aomori. We wanted a nice hotel, off the beaten path, while being a place which wasn’t too hard to get to. After looking at what was available in Aomori, we decided to try the Oirase Keiryu hotel, which is located about 7 miles from Towada lake. This area is famous for its forests and natural scenery, its numerous streams, waterfalls, and wildlife. Access to Amori is easy, we took the Tohoku Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo Station to Hachinohe, which takes under 3 hours. From Hachinohe we rented a car from the Times Rental Car which is almost in front of the station. It takes about 90 minutes to get from Hachinohe to the hotel, though the hotel does offer shuttle bus service to the station. We chose to rent a car because there are many things within driving distance to see. The Oriase Keiryu hotel lies in a small valley alongside a river which runs from Towada lake. The drive from the train station to the hotel takes you through farm land and small towns. As there are few shops or stores near the hotel, it is a good idea to stock up on sundries at a convenience store or at the station before you get on the shuttle bus. Our rental car (a Mazda) had a navigation system which could be set to English, but I found my iPhone maps app offered a faster route. However, the route chosen by my phone took me alongside small farm roads, and a couple bridges which were too narrow for two-way traffic. But as there was almost no traffic along the route, this wasn’t an issue. After reaching the hotel, we found free parking near the entrance, and were quickly checked in. One great thing about Japanese hotels is that the service is always first rate, and tipping is not permitted. Our bags were promptly picked up at our car, and taken to our room. The Oriase Keiryu hotel is a combination of buildings with an older wing and a newer wing. The new wing (where we stayed) was a considerable distance from the lobby, but in Japan people are used to walking everywhere, so this was no real issue. The new part of the building is wonderfully decorated, with a couple of beautiful lobbies which offer coffee, tea, books and comfortable places to sit, indoors or outdoors. A good thing about this hotel is the wide variety of rooms, which can be had from less than $100 per night to $1500 per night. One thing I noticed as we were heading to our room was a rather strong smell. To some it might smell like an old building or something else, but I recognized it as the smell of onsen (hot spring) water. The hotel has an onsen baths for men and women, these are located in the newer wing of the hotel. As it happened, my wife had booked the best room in the hotel, which was a 2 bedroom suite. This was literally the most beautiful hotel room we have ever seen, and we have stayed at some wonderful hotels. The room featured two separate bedr

SSilverGeckoWe were very comfortable and our room was lovely and we were made to feel welcome. It was easy to get to from the station and easy walking to sight seeing.
We chose not to eat in the hotel restaurant because it was 800Y just to take a seat and place an order for food and drinks. This didn’t sit well with us so we chose to spend our money in little local restaurants instead and had a wonderful range of food options and exceptional food.
GGuest UserThe room was large and they put an extra bed, so I was able to spend a relaxing time with three family members. The lights are as bright as ordinary homes and the table lamps are as bright as learning lamps. The bathroom was spacious, clean overall and no shortage of amenities. The location is just a short walk from Yanagimachi by bus from the airport. There are also plenty of Japanese, Western and Chinese + Tony Rome restaurants (you can buy a great meal ticket at the hotel) in the hotel building, and there are bakery and Lawson, so it is really convenient. There is a popular soba restaurant called Kakizaki next door, but unfortunately it was reserved. There seems to be a lot of restaurants in the area, so I don't think you will have any trouble eating without going to the station.
GGuest UserThank you for giving me the highest floor of the building. Hotel is located right in the middle of shinmachi shopping district area.
The room is super clean. The pillows , linen, window and all are thoroughly cleaned with no smell.
I took the queen size bed room for more mobility comfort. It was more than enough for one person. The toilet is semi attached to the room, air exhaust is a bit limited hence it might smell a bit after u take a dump.
Overall, very pleasant stay. Free water top up station just right out side the elevator of your floor. There’s even a water bottle for you to take water if you don’t have any PET bottles.
Charging accessories are provided as well for your camera/laptop etc if you didn’t bring it with you.
Very nicely thought out room layout
Jjo56Overall, it's good value for money. It's very close to the beach and not far from JR Aomori Station, 8 minutes walk. The downside is that there was a large blood stain on the quilt. After I complained, the front desk immediately came to help me change it. After that, when I left, the front desk handed over the key and apologized to me. I accepted it. I hung up the cleaning sign when I went out in the morning, but the room was not cleaned that day. I complained again, and someone came to correct it immediately. Overall, I felt good.
Aomori is a small city, and the Aomori Center Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the train station, and seafood market. The entrance to the hotel is located on a back street so if you are coming on your own, it may be a bit hard to find. Plus the hotel reception is located on the second floor of an old building, and the entrance does not look like a hotel at all. Free coffee is available at the lobby though. Check in was smooth. The staff explained the hotel info to us, the public bath, the restaurant, the amenities, etc. We have the corner room which has a window on both side of the room. The hotel is a bit dated as mentioned by other guests. But given the relatively low price tag and convenient location, it is still a good choice for many people. The room has most the of facilities you need, TV, air conditioning control, kettle, mini fridge, a couch, and the bed is quite big and comfy. The onsen located on the second floor is one of the selling point of the hotel. Outsiders can pay to enjoy the onsen as well. There are also a canteen style restaurant which closes at 10:00pm, offers a variety of dishes at a reasonable price. Breakfast is offered at the same restaurant in a buffet style, with quite a variety of choice and drinks. When in Aomori, free flow of apple juice is not to be missed.
I been using Hotel Route Inn as my first choice of hotel stays when I travel around Japan for the basic reasons of consistent hotel standards and know what to expect in terms of service, room size and location surroundings. The free breakfast is also a draw and sometimes the food repeat over the course of the week but helps in the morning kickoff. Overall the price value point is also a major draw and certain hotels have free car park and certain hotels charges 500y for hotel guest overnight parking due to its location. I normally have a rental car and this makes the selection of hotel much easier as some of the hotel locations are slightly out of the way depending on the region. We stay only 1 night since we flew in from Osaka and was planning to do a more detailed car drive travel of the Aomori region. Will be visiting and staying at other Hotel Route Inn locations during our 3 weeks visit. We normally book the comfort or double twin non smoking room for the extra space, as some of you must be well aware that Japanese hotel rooms are tiny averaging about 15-17 sqm in size. The toilets are standard built in cabin and all rooms are clean and decently well maintained. Minimal English is spoken by hotel staff. There is coin operated laundry service. The booking website is also easy to use and their booking cancellation policy are good. No credit card is needed for reservations.
TTeniscubI decided to come all the way from Tokyo to this location near Aomori in the middle of some heavy heavy snowfall and snow blizzards. Thankfully, the Ryokan is literally in front of the train station. This was very helpful in the middle of a white out snow blizzard. Expect this kind of weather in northern Aomori in mid-December. The train station Asamushi Onsen on the Aomori Railway is fairly straightforward to access from Aomori Station and brings you to the Ryokan fairly easily. There isn't a big sign which would have been helpful during a snow blizzard. Check-in was fairly easy , even with no Japanese, the lady understood the important basic things required for simple check in I needed to know. I had asked for an ”ocean” view when booking and that was the best part really.. amazing view of Mutsu Bay from the room. The room was a really really big tatami floored room for just one. Nice softbeds, some loose matcha green tea leaves and tea set/kettle. Despite the spacious room, almost no space between ends of beds and cheap wardrobe. Kind of just shoved in there. TV and Japanese dining table although I didn't use them. And an Aomori Apple cake of some description to welcome, nice touch. Really annoying noisy air conditioner / heater, although managed to turn off the ”swing” function that kept me awake. Reception had a nice log fire, but it's a kind of dark and creepy place. I guess there's not much happening here in mid-winter. Here was the onsen. Pretty standard bathing facility is you're familiar with these kinds of onsen. No view so nothing special or noteworthy to write. Had to use it as the room had no bathroom. I didn't eat meals here so cannot comment. The location is excellent, near some places to buy food and the other onsens and places of interest all nearby. I wonder if they need to update one or two things as it does feel kind of outdated but for the price and size of room, cannot complain.
XXUANJIEThe overall experience is very good.
1. The Japanese-style room faces the snow-capped mountains. The room is not big, but it can still open two 28-inch boxes.
2. This hotel is very convenient to go up to the snow mountain. The cable car is very close.
3. The food in the hotel is very good. Aomori’s local cuisine is highly recommended. Make an appointment in advance. The breakfast is also very rich. The quality is very good.
4. It is very suitable for professional skiers
5. The hot springs are also great. Although the hot springs are relatively small, the water quality is really good. I have experienced several hot springs this time, and this one is the best. But the pool is a bit slippery, so be careful.
6. The waiter has limited English, but he is very good to the guests. thank you.
