Pondok Santi Estate is truly an exceptional place to stay. We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel. Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive. The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special. What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the room staff to the restaurant team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Personally, Gili Trawangan itself is not a destination that impressed me greatly. However, Pondok Santi Estate completely transformed our experience and made the island a place I would happily return to again — specifically because of this resort. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and are deeply grateful for such a memorable and high-quality experience. Pondok Santi Estate is a true sanctuary of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality, and we would not hesitate to return.

An amazing place! Tucked away from the main roads and horse trails, it’s peaceful and has a wonderfully secluded vibe. The staff is attentive and friendly, the breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety to choose from. The room was clean, cozy, and everything looked new or very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the beachfront with private sun loungers. The staff are welcoming, and there's a tap outside each villa to rinse off sand after the beach. We were greeted wonderfully and checked in immediately as our room was ready. They promptly brought welcome drinks and cold towels. Regarding the downsides: there are no disposable toothbrushes or body lotion. The water isn't in disposable bottles but in a carafe that you have to refill yourself in the lobby. The room is very dark with insufficient lighting. The windows aren't airtight, leading to high street noise, especially when the call to prayer starts at night. The refrigerator is also very noisy. The air conditioner is positioned to blow directly onto the bed, so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The AC is also loud. There were strange worm-like caterpillars crawling in the bathroom and room. There are no power outlets near the beds. Breakfast is à la carte, with an additional buffet offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. The breakfast food isn't very good; poached eggs were overcooked. A plus is that you can order several dishes from the menu. The latte coffee was very bitter, and I had to add milk myself. I believe the price for this hotel is too high. The only plus is the location – it's conveniently situated a 10-minute walk from the port and has a beach spot where you can see turtles.

Our overall experience at Cocana Resort Gili Trawangan was excellent. The hotel is new and very well-maintained, and the pool and beach areas are incredibly picturesque, especially at sunset when the ambiance is just perfect. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the staff are all warm and friendly. It's also super convenient to bike to the main restaurants and bars on the island from here. I recommend bringing sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and snorkeling gear, as the sun on the island is very strong. Rooms close to the sea might occasionally have mosquitoes, so remember to keep your doors and windows closed. If you're lucky, you can spot sea turtles right in front of the hotel – I highly recommend snorkeling in the early morning when there are fewer people and the water is clearer. Since there are no motorized vehicles on the island, if you have a lot of luggage, I suggest booking the hotel's horse carriage transfer service in advance; it'll save you a lot of effort.

Great experience, all the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location is also well located, close to Bask and Pomona (both great for breakfast / Lunch / Dibber). I would not recommend the breakfast attached to the hotel though as it is super basic (but it is cheap at approximately 8 euros). Also there weresome drainage issues with the villa we had.

LOVED this hotel!!! Hands down the most beautiful hotel on the island. This place offers stunning beach vibes with little apartments and lovely outdoor spaces that make it so easy to relax and soak up the island lifestyle. We actually rented bikes and rode around the entire island, and this was easily the most beautiful hotel we saw! The pool is the absolute main feature here—great cocktails and an amazing vibe. The rooms were nice, and the outdoor shower was the cutest touch! My only minor critique regarding the room would be the lack of shower gel holders and towel rails near the actual shower itself. Food-wise, breakfast was incredible. It can take quite some time—you could easily spend an hour there—but it wasn't a problem for us because they bring out croissants and pastries while you wait, keeping you full while you enjoy the beautiful views. An absolutely stunning stay, I can't wait to go back!

We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children. The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first. I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home. This hotel is magnificent in every way! The rooms are equipped with everything you could need, including a kettle, a safe, toothbrush and paste sets, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even body lotion. The bathroom humidity is low, so swimsuits dried completely overnight. The huge bed was incredibly comfortable with soft pillows – we slept like babies! The staff are very attentive and always smiling, excellent service! There are two swimming pools on the property; we particularly liked the second, longer one, further from reception. You can also rent bicycles for the whole day! The breakfasts are delicious. Best of all, turtles swim right in front of the hotel – we absolutely loved watching them! It was hard to leave this paradise!!!

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the port. It's on a very lively street, with lots of tourists, shops, cafes, and even horses – always bustling with activity. The breakfasts are fantastic – a lavish buffet plus you can order additional dishes to be prepared. Truly among the best! The rooms are incredibly clean and beautiful. The hotel's design gets an A+! 🤓

Really enjoyed my stay! Staff were wonderful, very kind and helpful, location was brilliant close to great food and the harbour, only a short stroll on the main road, so no need to hire a horse and cart, unless you have a lot of language. Pool was lovely very refreshing, loved having access to it at my front door! I would honestly come back, really loved being able to rent an electric scooter from the lobby, no hassles at all just pay and go. Was my first time on a scooter, staff were very helpful and non judgemental when I crashed into the bush my first go lol. They were correct you will become a pro in no time. Outdoor bathroom is slightly older, a bit of wear and tear, but didn’t bother me, as everything worked fine, the walls could use a bit of a clean to get 5/5 for cleanliness, however the toilet, shower, sink and room itself were very clean, including the bedding and towels. Guests also have access to the lagoon beach club, hosts breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as movies playing by the pool on a projector everynight. It’s such a vibe :)
