An amazing place! Tucked away from the main roads and horse trails, it’s peaceful and has a wonderfully secluded vibe. The staff is attentive and friendly, the breakfasts are delicious with a wide variety to choose from. The room was clean, cozy, and everything looked new or very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Matt NasirPondok Santi Estate is truly an exceptional place to stay.
We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel.
Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive.
The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special.
What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the room staff to the restaurant team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay.
Personally, Gili Trawangan itself is not a destination that impressed me greatly. However, Pondok Santi Estate completely transformed our experience and made the island a place I would happily return to again — specifically because of this resort.
We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and are deeply grateful for such a memorable and high-quality experience. Pondok Santi Estate is a true sanctuary of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality, and we would not hesitate to return.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic, right on the beachfront with private sun loungers. The staff are welcoming, and there's a tap outside each villa to rinse off sand after the beach. We were greeted wonderfully and checked in immediately as our room was ready. They promptly brought welcome drinks and cold towels.
Regarding the downsides: there are no disposable toothbrushes or body lotion. The water isn't in disposable bottles but in a carafe that you have to refill yourself in the lobby. The room is very dark with insufficient lighting. The windows aren't airtight, leading to high street noise, especially when the call to prayer starts at night. The refrigerator is also very noisy. The air conditioner is positioned to blow directly onto the bed, so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The AC is also loud. There were strange worm-like caterpillars crawling in the bathroom and room. There are no power outlets near the beds. Breakfast is à la carte, with an additional buffet offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. The breakfast food isn't very good; poached eggs were overcooked. A plus is that you can order several dishes from the menu. The latte coffee was very bitter, and I had to add milk myself. I believe the price for this hotel is too high. The only plus is the location – it's conveniently situated a 10-minute walk from the port and has a beach spot where you can see turtles.

😄👊🏻 We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Gili for our honeymoon!
We took a horse cart from the harbor to the resort, which was a unique and fun experience. We also rented an electric bike at the accommodation and comfortably explored every corner of the island.
Most of all, true to its resort name, the swimming pool, gym, and private beach were very private and relaxing, making it perfect for a couple's trip. I also remember all the staff members being incredibly friendly and welcoming with smiles.
I had heard that the water quality on Gili Island isn't the best, and on our first day, the water from the shower was quite poor. However, when I informed the front desk, they immediately changed our room to a better one. Thanks to the staff's prompt and kind response, we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay perfectly.
I highly recommend this place for a honeymoon or couple's getaway!

This is a wonderful hotel on the west coast, our rooms we beautiful, the hotel staff the very friendly and helpful, a great pool. We hired bikes from the hotel to cycle around the island to visit other beaches, bars and restaurants. Sunbeds were available on the beach, and we were able to watch the sunset on bean bags also provided by the hotel for their guests. We were lucky to see turtles near the shore whilst watching the sunset. A great base to visit the other Gili Island, would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children.
The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first.
I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home.
We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit!
Best,
Ryan Lisha

Bee_❤️If you want to stay close to the harbour and right where the atmosphere is lively, Villa Ombak is a great choice. It’s only about a six-minute walk from the harbour, so everything is easy to reach without being right in the middle of the crowds. The staff were genuinely lovely and very welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. You get the best of both worlds — close enough to walk to where things are happening, yet still peaceful enough to relax.
I stayed in one of the traditional Lumbung huts and it was absolutely beautiful. Just something to note — the bathroom is downstairs via a small staircase from the bedroom, so it suits someone reasonably mobile. The shower is outdoors, which actually adds a really nice tropical touch and makes the experience a bit more unique. Under the bedroom there’s also a bale (a shaded lounging space) where you can unwind, read, or sneak in an afternoon nap — honestly, very easy to lose track of time there.

Guest UserThe hotel is very pleasant, quiet, and peaceful. It has everything you need: air conditioning, a refrigerator, water during cleaning, a welcome drink, plenty of space to dry clothes, and decent internet for working in the room. The staff is always happy to help. Breakfast is buffet or à la carte, and the portions are generous. I also enjoyed dinner here; the island was very deserted during my stay, and I didn't feel like wandering far.
The beach is also beautiful; there's construction going on in the sea right now, but there are no boats blocking the view, so the construction doesn't interfere. We saw two turtles, and it was nice to swim after them without the crowds. Between the hotel and the port are beautiful corals and fish; snorkelers are also available here.
When you enter the water, there's a strip of coral, and the sand can be very hot. The coral is helpful, but you can get by without it. The hotel itself is not new, so don't expect it to be super-renovated, but it's a good value for the island, and I recommend it!

Guest UserI had a really nice stay at Jambuluwuk Oceano Gili Trawangan. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the island, which was perfect for relaxing while still being easy to reach the center by bike. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was beautiful. The pools and beachfront area were definitely highlights of the stay.
The staff was very friendly and always helpful throughout my trip. Breakfast was correct with enough variety to start the day well, even if it could be improved a little. I also loved the location for watching the sunset and snorkeling nearby. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing trip in Gili Trawangan.

IngridThe hotel has beautiful rooms, but no maintenance. At present they are fitting it, it is noted that it has been closed for 2 years. Aris the manager is great, I help us with everything he could and more, it is of those people who value the places. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.
