My partner and I just spent a wonderful 7-night stay at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the ocean. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the sunset every evening. The bed was super cozy, and we appreciated the luxurious bathroom amenities. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. We made the most of the resort's amenities, spending many relaxing hours by the pool and pampering ourselves in the spa. The spa treatments were fantastic – we especially enjoyed the couples massage. The variety of pools meant we always found a quiet spot to unwind. Dining was a real highlight, with several restaurants to choose from, offering both local and international dishes. Each meal was delicious, and the service was always attentive. We also loved sipping cocktails at the bar with live music in the evenings. Overall, it was a perfect romantic getaway, and we can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a place to unwind in luxury and enjoy a bit of paradise, Secrets Lanzarote is definitely the place to go!

Where do i start on my New years getaway flop! Booked online and tried to avail of their 20% wintersale offer. Every time i tried i got 4.5% discount only ?? Called directly the hotel to see if they could help and they said to book and they could amend when paying at the hotel. Arrived at the hotel and was told the price i got was the best available as it was ”up to 20% off” - Nice start guys!! Paid for a king suite with garden view and got 2 single beds, view of a dirty car park with a few caravans parked in it and a sofa that resembles sitting on a small stone wall. Complained to ”guest relations” (use that term very lightly) who said he would offer some compensation and see if he could find us a better room. Nothing done for two nights and I returned to see the GR guy as I also had some issues in regards the food , oh the food....... I have never in my life found a restaurant where they managed to make every type of meat, fish or vegetable taste of nothing. At this meeting I again commented on the room and asked for the compensation to which he said there would not be any and that he would move us the following day. In regards the food he shook his head and said maybe he could give some compensation ( famous words!) We were given a better room with a pool view the following day and it was much better then the first. Had they done this initially it would not have ruined 3 days of our holiday. Went on day 4 to eat and my wife was now getting stomach cramps just thinking about eating at the buffet so we went very early to see if the food would be better or taste fresher. No such luck, same dry meat, overcooked fish and bland sauces. We ate out that night as neither of us could enjoy it. Went back to GR and said we wanted to cancel the food option in the hotel for the last 7 days. He offered us a reduction of 4 euro per day !!!!!! Looking back with the quality of the food 4 euro was probably a bit generous for the muck they served. We attempted another night on NYE as it was at the other restaurant on site - The food was slightly better but some items came out cold. We asked if we could eat there for the remainder as compensation and GR told us it was not possible as it was very busy. For our remaining nights we seen this restaurant 3/4 empty most evenings. We tried another night to eat and got undercooked fish, frozen desserts , and once again dry meat. Looking around you could see most people with small little amounts on plates like they all were testing the water on all the food to see what might be bearable . NYE - The party was a bit dry, the music picked up a bit later and we enjoyed ourselves just dancing away. They could have had some games or something but did not so it was just a few little groups seemed to make their own fun for the evening. We plodded through our last few days, had a few issues with towels not being replaced, or cups not being cleaned but didn't even complain at this stage as we didn't expect anything t

This has been the most wonderful holiday. I'm standing here looking at The Arrecife Gran Hotel and Spa and I want so much to run back in. Its a marvellous hotel but it's the staff that are the heart if it. They are the most friendly and helpful staff that I have ever encountered. The reception is not the old counter style, it is 3 beautiful tables and comfy chairs and there are so many of the reception staff and they all seem to speak English so well. I must give a shout out for Ruth who is just starting her career as a member of the reception staff. She was courteous and friendly and helpful despite being very new to it all. Our room was an Ocean view suite and it was perfect A very large room with a sofa and coffee tables for relaxing and a table and chairs at the floor to ceiling corner glass windows showing the fabulous view of the Bay and harbour, so beautiful. Everything is automatic so when you open your door the curtains swish open to reveal the magnificent vista. Little sensor lights pop on at night to guide you to the toilet and back without all the main lights coming on. There was a bottle of tasty prosecco to greet us, a coffee machine, pods replaced everyday also a kettle but do bring your own tea bags. Two small bottles of still water are provided daily too oh , and chocolates.The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room was almost soundproof. Could fault it. Now for food. We booked B&B but when we arrived they offered us a couple of deals and we availed of both. One was book some meals at their buffet and the more you book the cheaper it becomes so we booked 4 nights which I think worked out at about €22 each per night. Then they offer a clever deal where you agree to pay a certain amount in advance to the hotel, to spend in the hotel and they give you a little credit incentive on it . For example, we paid €130 and they added €10. Brilliant idea. Breakfasts were fabulous, everything you could ever want. Warning , if like me you don't like much salt then tell the chef ' sin sal, por favor ' they use rock salt and its very strong. One of the Breakfast chefs was a wonderful lady called Anna. She was so lovely and also helped me with my Spanish every morning that she was there . The buffet meals are themed but it was all beautiful, plentiful food and not a bun fight, plenty of room. The Sky bar Blue 17 on the top floor is a must. The view are incredible and the food is very reasonably priced for such a fancy place. We didn't realise they had entertainment up there and sadly on the two occasions we went up there we missed it but never mind there is always next time. The sun lounge terrace was lovely but being lined up on beds on a terrace is not for us or the beautiful but small indoor pool when you have the beautiful sandy beach and clear sea just outside the hotel. Want a great holiday in Lanzarote Then Hotel LIVVO Volcan is the place for you Just came back 4-11th Oct The hotel is lovely, staff helpful, friendly nothing to much trouble Location right on the marina perfect for bars resturants ( all budgets) and supermarkets x3 water etc Breakfast, to much choice 1/2 dozen types of bread cold and hot offers a plenty ( 4 toasters) Egg Station Evening meals ( we took the 3 night offer, like to eat out some nights) Again great, hot grill master chef at work, soups hot cold, salads omg everything, Ice creamn 4 flavours spuds (have a mixed grill Roast, Mash, Spanish Spuds & Mash :) You will not be dissappointed Hotel room spotless, aircon very easy to use ( most hotels aircon never work properly) Fridge, Kettle, Plenty 2 point sockets everywhere. Stayed here last year and loved it. This year- definitely not! Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived- but ok. We were not guided to our room- we had to ask 3 cleaners before we found it! Heavy cases and wrong turns meant a grim start. Our room is dark, small and never gets any sun at all. We are tucked behind a fence in a windy corner so unable to sit outside. I mentioned this to our rep and hotel staff- answer we’re full! Our WiFi didn’t work in room but was then fixed after a complaint. There is no English TV, if we’d known we could have prepared for this. We asked why and were told no signal here. There was every channel last year and the hotel could buy into services for us. Other venues locally have done this. Last year the exercise classes were excellent- professional instructors came in properly qualified in yoga, pilates etc They really knew their stuff. This year the animation team are running classes - so poor by comparison. These staff although pleasant and likeable need considerably more training. I did a Pilates class with an instructor who was so injured he couldn’t move his neck- although he tried he was not fit to take a class. I did a large ball exercise class but the instructor could only find one ball- we had to share! In the small outdoor exercise area there is a cement mixer and building items stuck in the corner! We opted to reduce our room cleaning so we’d have extra money at the bar- approx 90 euros- great. In our room a notice states you can use this in hotel bars “and even at our Happy Hour so you can double the amount” I asked the manager about this because Happy Hour had been cancelled- she told me I read it wrong and that it was just one word error in printing!!!! The notice is still in every room and taking 90 euros extra off each couple. I raised these issues with ourJet2 rep who was very understanding- we were given a pass to the Spa -value 10 euros. Having chatted to other guests there are many complaints being made and significant refunds given, room changes made etc. I don’t want to list all our issues. Such a shame our experience has been spoiled by poor customer service and what to us seems to be a drop in standards. To end on a positive note- yes pools are freezing but pool area is beautiful, location is ideal for us, the eco ethos is commendable, the cleaning staff are very friendly.

Excellent service, suites very roomy, very quiet and relaxing. Bit disappointed with food offerings, poolside bar poor value for food. Buffet was very good but not sure 5*. I was expecting better food offerings for 5*

Having stayed previously in a Diamond Resort complex on the Costa Del Sol we were hoping that Club Del Carmen would offer the same standard of accommodation and it did not disappoint. This is a fantastic small complex in a quiet area of Puerto Del Carmen literally across the road from a fantastic sandy beach. It is a short walk along the coast (5-10mins) to the start of the main ***** but there are bars and restaurants closer. The on site Baily Bar does fantastic quality food, well worth staying on site and having dinner here. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, one bedroom opens onto a terrace with sun loungers. Upstairs there is a living and kitchen area, another shower room with WC, and a balcony with table and chairs. The kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, hib and oven and large fridge freezer. Plenty of equipment to self cater if you want to pans pots cutlery etc. The apartment also has iron and ironing board. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The on site pool is small but the complex is small and the pool never felt overly busy. The sunbed booking system is great means that there's no mad rush. Never an issue securing beds but the complex is so small most people seemed just to bathe on their patio or balcony.. Also the option to have freshly baked pasty and bread delivered to your room is something we used every day. Overall it's a brilliant complex with a great on site bar and restaurant in a fantastic location. All staff were very helpful and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this complex. It was brilliant.
