"While the room type was acceptable, the hotel is quite old with outdated facilities. The moment we entered, there was a strong musty smell from the carpet. The front desk staff had absolutely no concept of customer service; check-in was painfully slow, they were abrupt, and incredibly unwelcoming. In the middle of the night, I couldn't access the upper floors. The front desk attendant was practically asleep and completely dismissive when I sought assistance. They only provide one key card per room, even for double occupancy, and since a card is required to access the upper floors, this was extremely inconvenient. Dining options around the hotel are very limited, with hardly any places to eat nearby. Parking spaces were also insufficient. When my child lost a key card, we were immediately charged a 50 RMB replacement fee. I suggested it might have been lost somewhere within the hotel, but the front desk staff completely disregarded my comment and insisted on the 50 RMB charge. Overall, it was a particularly terrible experience."

"The room is not big, but it has everything it should have after the renovation. I came to Xiyunlai mainly because of the water quality. The surrounding restaurants are also convenient. We arrived at the hotel a little early and prepared the room card in advance. There were still a lot of people checking in yesterday, and the front desk service was meticulous and patient."
