Days Inn by Wyndham Lexington

We left within 30 minutes. The first room we were given was not clean or potentially someone else’s room still. The second room at first glance was tidy, HOWEVER, that was not the case. One of our group took a shower and the water backed up. Being that there were two more of us that needed to shower, I investigated. I pulled a disgusting amount of hair and gunk out of the drain. Then I found what looked to be blood or vomit on the floor near the sink and fridge. We left immediately and requested a refund. Had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn Express and then at the Rockbridge Inn. I would not recommend this place AT ALL. Photos attached.

The place is not well cleaned, the smoke detector was covered. There was no hot water, the air conditioner because the front room windows I guess are the whole of the room and they leave them to bake in the sun all day took about 4 hours to cool off the room to some degree of comfort.

Not at all impressed with the rooms at this establishment was way overpriced because it was a graduation weekend at liberty University. Had booked two rooms each with a king bed couldn’t even get into one of the rooms because the battery was dead on the door to be able to open it with the card. Had to wait for maintenance the next day to fix it so end up getting moved to another room with two full-size beds both with dirty sheets Already on them. Definitely definitely not clean and the pictures online or nothing like the place actually looks the front office is not upfront it’s a rundown building right in front of of the Days Inn that used to be their office and that’s what it shows online would not recommend you take anybody there not even your pet.

I really appreciate what this venue has to offer. The staff are very friendly and accommodating (I arrived at 11pm and requested a late checkout the next morning). There's a continental breakfast that's pretty good, area was very clean. It offered waffle makers, yogurt, toast, pastries, juice, coffee etc. - a standard continental breakfast w/o hot items. The location is perfect for weary travelers driving on rt 81 - it's just minutes off the highway, offering a night of respite. It's also a good location for travelers who may want to visit the Natural Bridge or the Jefferson/Omni hot springs. The bedding was comfortable and the grounds were clean and offered plenty of grass area for those traveling with pets. There were also picnic tables, a small play area for kids and a seasonal swimming pool. There is some light traffic noise from the highway, but it didn't bother us - we slept soundly. The room has a microwave and nice sized mini fridge with a separate doored compartment for the freezer (larger than most hotels). The bathroom sink is outside the toilet/shower room which allows for guest use while others shower. Some may consider the room décor dated but everything was clean and matched expectations for the price point. This venue is an awesome budget conscious option, and is pet friendly! It is very good for it's price point.

No towels, ask 3 times. Booked room with 4 people only had 3 towels. They said they had none. Said i could bring mine down and they would wash. Just needed 1 more towel. never happened. TV would not come on, ask about that. They said they would check into it. 3 days at hotel, 3 kids and no TV.

When I turned on the light bugs scattered. Pictures attached. I turned around and checked out. The next day I requested a refund through the travel app I booked it through. The hotel lied and said I checked out the next day and denied the refund. Just a nasty, dirty place all around.

The first room had no toilet paper and would not lock. I was relocated to another room. The room was not clean. There was food on the wall and a picture. The refrigerator didn’t work. There was no coffeemaker, iron or ironing board. We didn’t get drinking glasses until the third day. We had to request an ice bucket so we could use our cooler to keep our food cold. There were stink bugs on the ceiling and in the air conditioning unit. When I checked out, the clerk told me that the rates changed daily and that was why my bill was different than the one quoted. My printed receipt is less than the amount charged to my credit card. This was one of the 2 worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel.

The hotel's on a hill with a great view of the sunrise. Breakfast has a variety of things to choose from and is served by the sweetest person I've ever known, Sissy. Rooms are standard but the beds are a little stiff and the sheets don't fit. The playground needs TLC to make it suitable for kids as it's made of wood and splintering. Great WiFi speed even when they're booked full. The staff are kind, helpful, and caring. They treated us like family. Will definitely stay here again!
