A perfect hotel. From check-in to check-out, dinner, breakfast, rooms, service, garden, afternoon tea are all wonderful experiences. This is the most satisfying hotel during a three-week trip to Europe.

Nearly an hour's drive from London. Manor-like hotel. All the food and drink are produced on the own farm. The hotel's restaurant has the longest two Michelin stars in the UK. It has an excellent environment and excellent service.

We had a truly wonderful experience last week for my husbands birthday. Everything was incredible from start to finish! My husband said it was the most expensive but also the best meal he had ever had! The bed was the most comfortable ever, the staff were exceptional and the freebies were extremely welcome including the champagne and freshly made cake in the room! Needless to say we took the cake home in the cake box provided, as didn't have any room for it!!

The place is beautiful and the staff wonder. The waiting staff, their pleasant nature, rapport and traditional waiting methods is a huge highlight. The best dish, by far was La Saumon: Confit Salmon, calamansi & fig. We could have stopped there and it was enough. The chicken liver parfait was a delight, and so was the monkfish. The rest just wasn't as good. The balance of food was off; The deserts were Le cafe creme or le cacao et le cafe. With a £30 extra for the former. The restaurant was notified of an allergy. I felt I had to remind them and asked what was the alternative. They didn't know and said whatever the chef decides. Later we were told the swap would be Rissotto of wild mushroom which we'd indicated between ourselves we wouldn't really like to try. The dish following the rissotto was monkfish with mushroom. It made us feel like the disability wasn't thought through with the balance of the meal. That equally goes for the two chocolate and coffee deserts. The bread, particularly the fig and current was very nice. We do, want to mention the staff, they are fabulous. Come on, when say mention the desert balance it's something you already know about. The food balance should be better
