3-Star Hotels in Sorrento

I would think with the pictures showing a pool and daybeds these would be free but when we got there they told us they are 15euro each day to use even though we are hotel guests. The reason we chose a hotel with a pool rather than paying for 1 at the beach. Very disappointed. The showers are very small we aren’t big people and found it hard showering. Balcony was good as could rinse clothes and dry outside but just placed over the chairs. No kettle in the room but can get free coffee with breakfast. Breakfast was included which was great. Scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, danishes, juice and coffee. Location was great coming off the ferry as right at the port with luggage. If going to town it’s a big stair case up to the top or you can walk along the beach to the lift down the road which is 2 euro to use. The bar upstairs has amazing sunsets, lovely watching the sun go down and they have a DJ playing lovely slow singing music which all generations could enjoy. The drinks are slightly priced at the bar though. The restaurant at bottom of hotel was great. 7 euro Margherita pizza and you get 10% off being a hotel guest. I would probably next time stay in town as closer to everything but I like walking and hiking for exercise so the big staircase worked for me but wouldn’t for lots of people. I think the hotel may of said they have free taxi to town but not 100 % sure.

Location is perfect. Centre of sorrento, close to Tasso Plaza and corsa Italia. Also easy wslj to recharge the busy harbour for ferry trips and the nicer , quieter, grande harbour for wonderful seafood. Hotel is close yo shops, restaurants snd train station for trips to pompeii or naples. Plus the hotel is set back in quiet peaceful gardens. Hotel is clean and staff very friendly. It's not a big chain so nice family run feel. Breakfast a bit beige ! Some tomatoes or fruit would have been nice but bread , cheese and bacon good for the price. There was a lovely coffee shop almost next door on corsa Italia ( through the tunnel from the hotel reception ) which had great cakes, coffee and night caps. But plenty of bars , cafe and restaurants in sorrento. Pool abit small but we always found somewhere to sit and if was a sight seeing not pool holiday. Of you want to travel around amalfi coast, see sorrento and be in the centre gor great food and drink this is ideal

The location of the room is very friendly for the driver, there are parking spaces, the parking fee is more expensive, and the extra parking fee is required. excellent service. I like the chef in that restaurant, very nice. The room type is generally sinking, and the winter climate is very poor. This is the only time I saw a double rainbow. I was lucky, and then I asked their waiter to come out and see it. They said that the weather was not so good for a long time, and the wind was strong, it was very cold and cold. Don't come in winter, it's too cold. Summer can be.

Hotel breakfast is good, equivalent to the star hotel level, save the hotel method: from the pier, then take a 1 euro lift, reach the above city (photo 1), then walk 8 minutes through the small square to reach the Grand Plaza (with flags , photo 2), then take the main street (walking path, photo 3), various shops on both sides, you can buy drinks in the fries shop of photo 4, and take a rest on the chair opposite the church door (photo 5) (also Take a drink at the roadside bar), then continue on, go down the slope on the side of the hospital (square), turn left at 50 meters, walk for 7 minutes, reach the road junction where you can drive, then Turn right and walk 100 meters across the road (passing an uphill parking lot) and you are at the hotel.

We went here last May (not got round to writing up my reviews) we understood that in a just over a week of us leaving, it was going to be closed for think they said a month for refurbishment. I do not know how intense this refurbishment would be, but I think it did need quite an extensive one. There is not a lot they can do about its layout, for example in some respects it is a great location right at the end of the pedestrian street but then again this is also a busy road that it is situated at and so can be quite noisy if you are at the front over looking the road especially if you think we will sit out on our small balcony! The hospital is basically right next door so during the night you can be woken by sirens. Like I say this cant be done anything about because it is in Sorrento itself and there are supermarkets and a lot of the bus excursions pick up by a pull in bit at the hotel opposite and where you get dropped off and pick up from your airport transfer. So in some ways it is great location but in others not so great. Just to make you aware; depends what you want. It is a good 10-15 mins walk to the train station down the pedestrian street and then a bit further. Not good if like us you got off the train to discover effectively there is a huge thunderstorm happening and you get drenched in the process of walking back to the hotel. The food is very nice and well prepared and cooked. The only thing that we would critise is that if you are there for 2 weeks on half board then the menus for the evening meal are exactly the same on the second week as they are on the first week. You choose your meal at breakfast so it is cooked to order and there are a couple of choices per course. But if you do not like for example one of the courses then you know you are going to have exactly the same meal on the same night the second week! We did like the fact that if you ordered a bottle of wine that they would keep it for you with your room number on or even bottled water for the following evening or until you had drank it. The roof terrace with the jacquizzi (which is not heated by the way only with the sun if there is any!) is quite nice but has no bar so you either have to go down a floor to the bar or wait until the bar man comes up and asks if you would like a drink. There was a bit of an issue with water overflow seepage on the roof and this really needed dealing with on the refurbishment. The tvs were small flat screeen ones but not many channels. So in the evening as there was nothing going on at the hotel and no one really sat in the reception bar, then it was either sit in your unenspiring room watching nothing really on tv, read a book or just go out every night. The beds were not of the best quality or the bedding. The air conditioning wasnt on until after a certain date which is fine but then when it did come on, ours would drip so we had to put the bath mat on the floor as it was in front of the wardrobe area and as it is

The location is unique and superb. It is very convenient to go around, it is very close to the train station bus station, walk for two or three minutes. There is a supermarket next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel is also delicious. The staff is very friendly.

We where greeted with open arms and fantastic smile by Giuseppe upon arrival. He was in contact with us prior to ensure he was present upon our arrival. We arrived early so we went shopping and sightseeing while our room was being made. When we return our room was ready early and he upgraded us to superior suite. What a pleasant surprise to the day. The room was spacious, clean and refreshing with a French balcony to the main street.The bathroom was large for 2 people. The location of the B&B was perfect, right in the historic center easily accessible to all the shopping and shops. The breakfast was simple continental style. The price was very responsible considering the location. Thanks you for a great stay.

Great hotel with excellent location. Right in the heart of Sorrento. 5 min walk to Main Street with shopping and eating, 10 min walk to train and bus station. Breakfast was amazing with great local selections. Simple but very elegant choices. Rooms were great. We had two rooms and each room had it own decore and colors.
