I made a reservation based on the information that there was a bathtub, but there was none.
I pointed out the mistake in the room allocation to the front desk, but they said that there were no rooms with bathtubs.
The information on Trip.com is a lie.
When booking with Trip.com in the future, I will carefully check the reviews on Google Maps.
During my stay, I found what looked like a bedbug on the pillow of the bed. When I checked under the mattress to see if there were any others, I found what looked like toilet paper trash.
I had to be careful to stay dressed and not expose my skin to avoid being bitten.
This was my first experience of the reservation information being different from the reality. It's very disappointing.

From 1935, this grand old lady works well. The cold war leaves it a little down at heal, but the water is spot on, breakfast good. They have a mini bar unlike some chains so there is a fridge in room to cool drinks as well.
Opposite a ministry and it is location, location and location as the Islandic consulate concurs

This hotel has a super location and the price is very reasonable. If I was with my missus I might have chosen another hotel, but on this solo trip around Eastern Europe I opted for this hotel and I was happy. Not a stylish hotel, but completely clean and my room was far bigger than I'd expect on my own so I was very pleased. The shower sprays all over the floor so that was a little annoying, but it was a good shower. The television had lots of sports channels which was handy as I was watching a bit of the snooker. There is a shop around the corner to pick up a few bits also. I did find the hotel staff to be rather unfriendly, but I found Sofia to be like this so maybe that's just the way they are. This hotel is a perfect location and you're just a short walk to the amazing Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and to the city centre also. I found Sofia to be a lovely city to wander around and really it is very underrated. Thanks, Irish Travel Man.

The exterior appearance is a bit intimidating, and the entrance is quite shabby. But I stayed in a double room, and everything was clean and the room was very quiet. It was room 310 and had good views outside. There's a huge radiator under the window that kept the room very warm, and there's also an air conditioner in case you're particularly chilly. It was the end of March, and I woke up on the first day to snowfall. Sofia is so beautiful with snow. From the hotel, you can walk to absolutely everything, all the main monuments, and a huge variety of shops of all kinds. There's an AVIS branch right downstairs if you want to rent a car. Breakfast is very good because it's very varied, although the juice is really bad. At night, you can go down to reception to watch TV and have a drink; there are always people willing to chat, which was very useful because I was traveling alone.

Hotel of good Bulgarian standards. Breakfast was plentiful, but not freshly baked. Rooms and bathrooms were decent. Chosen because of its central location and proximity to the cathedral, theater, etc. The supermarket next door is also ideal. Everything is within easy walking distance.
