It was a spacious room, nice and comfortable mattress. Although it is next to the main road, it was quiet at night. Lovely view to the back, they call it river view. It is a cannel where had a lot of ducks, geese and swan swimming up and down. A good place to stay.

My wife and I had a pleasant, 2 night stay at the Old Hall Inn. It's a pretty typical country pub with accommodation upstairs. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. TV reception was awful so make sure you pack some entertainment. The WiFi connection was OK. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice, decent quality. We ate in the pub both evenings. The food was fairly typical pub-grub with a few specials. The range of beers was limited, with nothing I recognised. I thought it was expensive, with a pint costing nearly £6. All in all, a pleasant enough stay.

Beautiful hotel

The Plough Inn was a delightful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless! I had the best nights sleep ever because it’s so nice and quiet. The food was absolutely delicious also, both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Parking is free and plentiful. Would love to visit it again. A lovely, cosy Yorkshire dales vibe.

We got a really good rate through the Trip website. Kelsey on reception changed our room because there was no bath in the first room. The staff at the hotel were very smartly dressed. The food at breakfast was excellent. We are two nights in Macleod. Again the food was excellent. We would recommend this hotel. The only negative was if you hadn’t booked a spa break you had to pay £30 each to use the pool.
