we stopped in cottage ivy it was beautiful we had the room downstairs. shower was great rest of the family upstairs and the bed are very comfy spotlessly clean ,coffee ,tea ,sugar we're a great help everything u needed in the kitchen, could do with a little bin to put ur food waste in , &some oil on the doors as the squeek, the goats ard so friendly especially Rosie (the escape artist) wegot her back in with a bribe of food, made our granddaughter laugh , games room could do with some new bats &balls ,thankyou for a lovely stay .

Wonderful clean comfortable cottage with everything that you need for a self catering holiday even to getting half a dozen free range eggs direct from the hen There are plenty of animals to see but this time we didn't come with children so didn't take up the chance to feed them, a small play area was also nice to see being used by a couple of youngsters We sat by the lake for some peaceful fishing, this was a little slow but we did catch some nice fish Being disabled I did find it slightly difficult to use the swims but the owners came up with a solution for me which I took up and this was very welcome Highly recommend this venue for a family holiday you won't go far wrong in choosing this place 5* all round

Our group of four anglers stayed at Chestnuts Cottages in June 2024, their Oak cottage could not faulted, an ideal base for us to explore the many fishing lakes the area has to offer. Each member of my party having a bedroom to themselves, all areas spacious, clean and tidy. Showers rooms on both floors making the downstairs perfectly suitable for the elder members of the group who may not have wanted to negotiate the stairs. Areas inside the cottage and outside patio/garden to relax and reflect on a day’s fishing or to plan our next move, this could be which of the local pubs to visit that evening or which fishing venue to venture to the following day. I’ve stayed at Chestnuts Cottages once before with my, the fact that I felt able to return with my group of fellow anglers for their annual fishing holiday, each of them more than happy with their stay, this tells you that Chestnut Cottages comes highly recommend.

This place is lovely and peaceful like being in the middle of nowhere even though a working farm. Accommodation 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and beds so comfy. The people that run it are very friendly and helpful. Fishing lake is awesome and a stones throw away from the accommodation. Nice village everything on your door step.

We had a great week in a cottage here. The cottage was huge and clean. It is on a farm and some mornings you can feed the animals and collect the eggs with the farm workers, who were all nice people and friendly. It is about a ten minute drive from Skegness where there is loads to do. On the site there is a pool table and table tennis table and although the games room is a bit dated, it is still good enough to play in with your children. There is also a tennis court, a good Children’s park and tractor rides. We have booked again already for next year as we all loved it.

We have been coming here for many years now. The cottages are very clean and they provide a peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. The fishing lake is well looked after and also very peaceful. We caught many fish this time. The only criticism we would have is to offer something new in the games room. It looks a bit tired now. The animals are fun to watch and well looked after. We were in half the original farm house which would sleep up to ten with ease. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and had everything we could possibly need. There is a small park which kept my 5 year old grandchild occupied and we enjoyed seeing the animals every day, chickens, ducks, pigs, a pony, rabbits, not forgetting Lola the goat who was definitely queen of the sheep and goat enclosure! The farm is withing easy walking distance of Burgh-le-Marsh village, and pretty and friendly place with all the facilities one would expect. Skegness is just quarter of an hour drive away with all its attractions. The family who run the farm are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The children enjoyed the tractor ride with the farmer who told us lots about her animals and answered any questions we had. The helpfulness of the staff continued after we left and one of us left their glasses behind and the staff were kind enough to post them back to us. We really hope to go next year and it was lovely to know that those who book this year have priority for booking the same accommodation for the same week next year. .
