Beware of your security deposit
I’m so disappointed to have to write this review - we’ve stayed in this apartment of a couple of times; the first time we only had positive words to say
However, we have absolutely no intention to return - we feel completely ripped off for them not disclosing there would not be the “sea view” we paid for (marquees blocking our view entirely so we felt completely missold here), coupled with unfairly retaining our security deposit and having no sense of reasonable approach to customer service
The majority of the deposit being withheld was due to the outside table smashing - however, they are completely ignoring the fact THEIR balcony door broke in bad weather, which was immediately reported, and we only moved the table to block the door to prevent further damage to the apartment until the engineer could come out (which unfortunately blew over in the wind)
To then claim this was entirely our fault and chargeable is an utter disgrace - we reported the issue as soon as we could and acted in good faith to try and prevent further damage which would never have happened if THEIR door wasn’t faulty
With the door blowing open off its hinges and water getting everywhere from the rain, I’m not sure what they expected us to do given their WhatsApp isn’t monitored after hours
Apparently a charge was also made due to the flat cleanliness - a bit rich given they left us absolutely no cleaning utensils.
Terrible approach to customer service and I’ll be escalating the matter
