Hotels in Little India, Singapore

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good thing is there is a 7/11 right next door. Aside from that the streets around it are slightly dodgier side of Singapore. Temple is RIGHT next door and our room overlooked it. It’s super noisy and so if you plan on sleeping in, don’t book this hotel. We are heavy sleepers so some of the time it wasn’t a problem but even with that being said it woke us up. The Aircon didn’t work last night we were there and was using a central system which we didn’t like. Area wise not the best for food and walking around. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind then it’s fine. If you’re looking for something slightly better I suggest elsewhere. The room was nice for the price tho I have no complaints aside from the Aircon on the last day which we told reception at checkout, but if I had a higher budget for this trip I’d probably book somewhere else.

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

Stayed at this hotel for a second time for a work trip. Location is convenient enough right next to the MRT and the staff was attentive.

perfect combination of price and quality. The hotel is one step away from Jalan Besar metro station and 7 min walk from another one - Rochar. the hotel has a fully equipped kitchen with unlimited access to a water cooler and a coffee machine with excellent coffee beans. in addition, there are washing machines and dryers (5SD per cycle in each of them). many showers and toilets equipped with shower gel, shampoo and liquid soap. the rooms are small, but have everything you need, including a safe, air conditioning and a dehumidifier. the lack of a window contributed to a peaceful and quality sleep. on request, towels are replaced. we were very pleased. highly recommend this hotel

The rooms are almost all without windows, smell of mold, there is a sink in the room, no closet, the refrigerator and kettle did not work. But there was hot water and thank you for that :) the area with shops and cafes is not bad. Lively little India. Overall: the price does not correspond to the quality, we are disappointed, we will not come again:((Definitely not to this hotel!

Love it so much! Love the bathtub! Super syiok staying there! You can watch netflix, youtube and even on your own sootify songs! Super vibe.

This was in a great location near to the little India subway station. I booked a deluxe room but it was anything but deluxe. The room was quite small but clean and acceptable for a few days. It’s a good place to lay your head if you’re out all day and coming in late in the evening. There was no window in the room. I asked for twin beds for me and my friend, but they said twin beds weren’t available so we had to share a double bed. Not a king size or a queen size bed but just extended ordinary double bed size. It was clean the staff were polite but it certainly not deluxe.

Check in with my sister. Very clean and cute room . We both happy with the hotel hospitality . The receptionist so bubbly and friendly. Plan to check in again next time😊

This booking at the last minute was a steal considering the usual price. The mint room we stayed in came with a high ceiling and a great city view. The huge pool was great and the whirlpool and 2 dip pools at extreme temperatures were refreshing. Breakfast at the cafe near the pool looks like a make shift space with very basic spread. Quality of food was nothing to crow about. Nonetheless, we had a great relaxing impromptu getaway. Thank you for the hospitality.

This review is based on my 5 Nights staying there with my pregnant wife. I book thru Tiket.com app and was advertise as 4 star hotel (which I don't think they deserve to be called 4 star hotel, instead it's more suitable to be called a boarding house / kos-kosan). When booking, i mentioned in advance with special request ”Clean and well maintained rooms, pregnant women in room”. However, I was given a room number 313 which was located in the end of the alley and no Window with direct sunlight on it. It feels really moist for us, and the room is quite dusty, especially below the bed. I asked to change room, and the lady staff check and said to the other staff quietly whether can give the room for me or not, and the other staff shake her head and said to me directly that it's a full capacity hotel. I told them I don't mind to pay extra money for upgrade but they tell me they don't have any room left. Which I don't think so. I don't want to debate because I just had an 8 hour flight and just accept it. I also do have my reason why this place is more suitable to be called ”Premium Boarding House” instead of 4 Star hotel Other than they ignored my advance special request, They DO NOT PROVIDE ROOM CLEANING AT ALL. Bed sheet will be change after 4 Days, Towel can be changed daily but YOU HAVE TO ASKED EVERYDAY DIRECTLY TO THE FRONT DESK to change it. I do request to change my towel for 4 days to the front desk and throw the garbage. They do give me towel 4 times, but only throw my garbage 2 times. Also on the 4th day I asked to refill the body wash in the room, but they did not. Furthermore, there are groups of family with children, and they do make noise at 12.30am (some giggling, some crying). The walls between are really thin, so you will felt disturbed when someone shouting in alley or even talking. There's no phone in room to call the front desk, and if it was, there's no one on the front desk cause they only open until 10pm. There's no facility and amenities in room except a dirty kettle and 2 piece of toothbrush. This place also have it's positive side. It's near Farrer Park MRT station and a mall just opposite the building. Also the interior seems new. Hopefully this review can help you decide which place you will stay. I suggest to compare with other hotels before you book. I was expecting too much because I look the 4 star during the booking and expect at least minimum 4 star hospitality on the stay which has cause me discomfort. PS: don't accept room 313 - no clear window
