I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is clean, spacious, and ideal for long business stays, with a washer, dryer, and fully equipped kitchen. It's conveniently located near MRT and bus stations. The front desk was very helpful, and the housekeeping staff kept everything tidy and comfortable. Special thanks to Ezam Sirin from reservations for arranging a quiet room, which I really appreciated due to my sensitivity to noise. Hope to come back in the future ^^.
Very spacious room with both a shower stall and a bathtub. Added bonus that there is filtered drinking water available directly in the room.
Service was generally good as well - had a faulty minibar fridge which was replaced quite quickly by maintenance staff.
Based on the cleanliness, room comfort and location of the hotel to many restaurants and a big mall (Great World City) nearby, would definitely recommend.
The overall service attitude is not so good. Especially during one time when one of my friend came for visit and had a carpark ticket, we went and ask whether there the hotel provide free parking for guest, the person who attended which looks like the manager , male with spectacles responded rudely asking whether we are members of the hotel, which after he check wasn't replied rudely like we shouldn't ask for such low discount from the hotel. At least give us the respect as guest staying at the hotel and answer nicely that carpark is not included. And he continued to communicate with his staffs and raising voice on other matters.
Stayed here more than one time, location and room are great. But service wise not so.
Also during breakfast at the outside open area, the birds will come eat your food on the plate if unattended. hotel provide a cover to protect the food. i wanted to get more food and cover one of my plate that i want to come back to continue while another plate i ask the waitress to clear it so that the birds don't make a mess out of it.
And when i come back, the whole floor and tables was covered in food, next thing you know the a new waitress comes and spoke rudely that I should cover my food properly and not create a whole mess out of it. After telling her that i have instructed immediate clearing before i left, the answer given is that we are quite busy you know having lots of things to do.
Lucky i took a photo of the great environment during breakfast. There is only one guest seating behind me at the outer area. So conclusion comes in that the manager's attitude spreads throughout the whole hotel.
This should be one and only negative review in trip.com. Push up the attitude and you guys are great!

It is a very suitable apartment for short stay. The location is very convenient. There are buses and subways every day. It is close to everything. There are restaurants across the street. The choices are rich, convenient and affordable. The facilities in the room are very complete. There are all the necessary facilities, such as hair dryer, iron, tableware, kitchenware, washing machine, dryer, microwave oven and refrigerator. Although the room space is cramped, there is plenty of storage space and the design is thoughtful. There are two shortcomings. One is that there is a bar next door. There will be loud noise on weekends and nights. It will be quiet around 1 o'clock. The other is that there is no front desk at Coliwoo Rivervalley. You can only contact by phone, whatsapp, WeChat or email. The response speed is not so immediate. It was a bit confusing to check in. One day, the room card suddenly couldn't open the door. I waited outside the door for more than 20 minutes in the middle of the night.
Great location and only a short walk from Fort Canning MRT. Pool was good for kids. Not the biggest but good enough for a cool down. Staff were attentive and helpful to us.
I had a wonderful experience staying at Paradox Hotel Singapore on Merchant Road. The hotel blends modern sophistication with a touch of local charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home from check-in to check-out. My room was spacious, well-appointed, and offered great views of the city. The facilities, including the rooftop pool and well-equipped gym, were fantastic for unwinding after a busy day. The location is perfect—centrally located with easy access to both cultural attractions and the vibrant food scene. I highly recommend Paradox Hotel Singapore for anyone visiting the area!
I love this hotel!! The hotel is just a two minute walk to Clarke Quay. A minute walk to the metro, 6 minute walk to Chinatown, 15 minute to Merlion park and with great amenities and wonderful service! I love how cozy and comfy the room was. The fact that for this price they offer potable drinking water from ge tap would help save money for buying bottled water. Moreover, they have Atkinsons as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, how is that for that bargain! The only thing I didn’t like was their shower room/bathroom because the lever for choosing which shower head to choose was broken. Beyond this thing the hotel is almost perfect! I would definitely book here again next time I travel to Singapore!
Booked studio m for our celebration for the loft space and enjoyed the location here. It had a great view and it was so close to Singapore river and Alkaff bridge (great for romantic dates).
Was concerned about the blanket that they had but room service said that it was the feathers in the blanket that clumped together? 😅 and I didn’t like that the curtains were dusty and a bit hard to draw. The pillows were kind of flat as well.
Overall I think it was really worth the stay for the accessibility and views 👍🏼
Positives: the breakfast was a wide variety, and the food was very yummy. The pool was big and clean. The room was also very tidy and neat, and they let us have a late check out at 2pm. The service is also great. Kids also eat for free. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall and the MRT station is just a short walk away :)
Negatives: the evening cocktail at the Executive Lounge was not that nice and the hotel was kinda old. The hotel also did not allow us to check in slightly earlier :(
The room is spacious, but the furniture is old, although very well maintained. The bathroom features a bathtub which is quite inadequate to use the shower safely. Breakfast is reasonable for Western options, however, the coffee machine is excellent. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the MRT and about 15 minutes from China City and Clark Quay.

GGuest UserBluewaters Female-Only Hostel exceeded my expectations 😄 in terms of ambience and amenities.
I like the cosy and quirky environment, which reminds me of my grandma's place with the enclosed airwell and the layout in the lounge area for relaxation 🎶
The amenities include complimentary coffee ☕️ tea 🍵 water💧utensils, a fridge, a microwave oven and even a toaster oven (which is uncommon) 👍
Thank you for making my stay during the New Year's eve/New Year 2025 so memorable ! ✨️
Warmest Regards,
JC
MMARINAThe photos of the room were obviously taken a long time ago, maybe right after the renovation. It doesn't look quite like that now.
There was no hot water in the shower, and it's obvious that it's not provided there. There are only two options for water temperature: ice cold and cool.
There is no free space in the room at all, I could barely unfold one small suitcase on the floor.
The breakfast with Asian food was tasteless, the situation was saved only by toasts with butter and jam.
HHenry.AngA very nice room with a huge bath tub. Location was great with lots of eateries around. Staff was friendly and even calls to room and asked if everything was alright. Great experiences.
CCHARANJITThe rooms are small but it is value for money. You must remember you are in ”Expensive” Singapore. So the hotel is value for money. I mainly used the hotel to sleep nights. Very good sleep I had in all my nights.
GGuest UserI almost felt live giving the rating a 2 1/2 instead of a 3 because although it wasn't a poor experience it wasn't average either because of the room size and other negatives. My room was classified as a ”Superior Single Room Without Window.” Very small space to move around from end of bed to beginning of bathroom. Maybe 7 feet by 5 feet space that the bed and counter ledge doesn't take up. Not much bigger than a pod sized room; but at least you get a good-sized bathroom which was the best part of the room. Excellent shower head with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable even though it was difficult to get out of as you had to butt hop to make it to the end of the bed. There was more free space in the bathroom than in the bedroom. Narrow counter top for your laptop, the phone, the coffee maker, and other odds and sods. Other positives apart from the bathroom were the basic cleanliness and kind of cool gold-colored basin. Air conditioning worked well; but was difficult to control the temperature. Not much to sit on - a half-chair with basically no backing and hard on your back-end. I would recommend not staying in the type of room I stayed in for more than 2 weeks. There are larger rooms in the hotel with a window; but even the larger rooms from the photos I've seen don't have much room to move around. The hotel has a very small lobby with 2 comfortable armchairs; and not much else. There are nooks and crannies where you can store your belongings including clothers hangers on the walls and space under the bed. Definitely no closet. Another positive is the excellent modern elevator and friendly receptionists. Apart from the coffee maker there is a small refrigerator (which wasn't working during my stay) and a personal safe. I told the receptionist about the fridge not working; but he misunderstood me and thought I meant the phone not working. Another negative - during the weekdays the hotel receptionist is only on duty until 5pm. On the weekends they are on duty until much later. If you need something from the receptionist and they are off duty you have to go to the sister hotel around the corner the ”Hotel Clover - The Arts.” If you arrive when the receptionist is not on duty there is a note with a phone number to phone; but it would be helpful if they had directions to where the Hotel Clover The Arts is located. I actually had to show a fellow who arrived late and was waiting for a receptionist to show up where the HC The Arts hotel was. The Clover 7 may not be a bad choice; but only if you are there for not a long time period. I was there for a month and got used to the room size; but would definitely not recommend staying longer than a couple of weeks if that. Strange how you can adjust to anything; but if you are a tiny bit claustrophobic either make sure you either choose a different/larger room or a different hotel.
GGuest UserGreat location. That’s the only good thing I can say about this hostel. AC is only on from 9pm to 9am and it’s insanely hot and humid all day, I woke up by 9:15 because I was sweating. There are extra fees for checking in after 8PM. I was charged the “late” check in rate but was apparently not charged an extra tax when checking in, so the worker approached me at my bed at 9am the next morning telling me I had to pay. I was incredibly uncomfortable with being approached this way. The wifi doesn’t work in the room, at least it didn’t on my bunk, it was connected with 1-2 bars and nothing was loading. I get that it’s a budget hostel, I’ve stayed at many, but this one was particularly awful. There are other hostels in Singapore at the same price point and without the extra fees, I would try those.
AAnonymous UserThe location is good, very close to Clarke Quay. The first floor is the lobby, and the upstairs is the room. It is a large dormitory with more than 20 beds. Men and women live together. You need to enter a password to enter the door. There is air conditioning and a mixed bathroom for showering (no toiletries). It looks clean overall.
There is a locker under the bed to lock luggage, but the pitfall is that you need to bring your own lock! ! Or buy a lock in the lobby downstairs (2 SGD)! ! Free breakfast is provided. You can eat bread with sauce by yourself. After eating, remember to wash it and put it back in the storage.
by the way Qingming Festival reservation is 149.5 yuan/night, which is really a bit expensive...
