We stayed at Royal Rock Sigiriya Hotel for 2 nights and had a great experience. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful - – highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort surrounded by nature. Also, keep in mind that the hotel is located in the wilderness, so it’s not unusual to have a frog or a lizard join you in the room.

Das Hotel war sehr schön und die Zimmer super schön eingerichtet und sauber. Alle sehr nett und zu empfehlen. Allerdings empfehlen wir nicht, den Fahrer des Hotels zu nehmen. Die Preise sind 3-4x so teuer und die Preise nicht transparent. Sie wurden einfach auf die Rechnung hinzugefügt. Außerdem wichtig zu erwähnen DER POOL FÄRBT ALLES ROT. Schmuck, Kleidung, Handtücher alles war rot und es geht durch Waschen nicht raus. Und wir hatten im lokalen Laden Bier gekauft, welches das Hotel netterweise gekühlt hat. Am Abreisetag hatte man uns statt einer vollen Flasche eine leere mit Deckel untergejubelt.

the place is correct and people very nice. Not luxury hotel but you know when you book it but a great view on the lions rock A bit expensive regarding competitors Very disappointing and dishonest!! I paid cash in dollars the room!! I found out the day after the 20 dollars bill in return , this 20 dollars wasn't accepted by any shops including the Lions rock office because it was a little damaged. In Sri Lanka, bills even with a sligth damage are rejected and becomes ZERO value!!

Excellent place to stay.staff very friendly and helpful.so great place in sigiriya.bathroom and room very clean and comfortable bed.we stayed 2 night and enjoyed very well.garden and outside the hotel clean very beautiful.breakfast was awesome

Fantastic location with views of the rock from our rooms and pol area. Brilliant hospitality and very welcoming staff. Rooms are comfortable with aircon and a great family room with separate room for the children. Food was also delicious, highly recommended.

Very kind staff. Everything worked very well. They woke up two times at 6 am just to be sure we had breakfast before our excursion. Rooms are good a clean with AC and fan. You can have a basic dinner and lunch if needed. Prices are reasonable. Direct view to Sigiria rock.

No towels in bathroom , patio doors would not open in 2nd bedroom ,staff friendly but restaurant staff English not good , food choice inadequate little choice and badly cooked. Tv remote not working no staff around to ask , would not recommend

We had a beautiful view on the Lion Rock from the balony of our room. The room itself is clean and spacious with good airconditioning. The staff is very helpfull and drove us to Pidurangala Rock and the next day to Dambulla. We really had a good time.

Schönes Hotel in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße am Rand von Sigiriya. Angrenzend ein Reisfeld - am Horizont sieht man den Royal Rock als auch den Pidurangala. Beides Berge, die man begehen sollte, wenn man in der Nähe ist. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock (der zweite muss erst ausgebaut werden) und hatten direkten Blick auf das Reisfeld und den Royal Rock. Essen war sehr gut und günstig. Wir haben abends immer dort gegessen. War super Qualität und frisch gekocht. Manager war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Zimmer sauber. Absolut empfehlenswert!!
