The location is close to everything in Sidney, and the staff was very accommodating when we asked to drop off our luggage. Complementary madelines and coffee in the dining room, sherry in the evening, and a breakfast basket delivered to the room. Highly recommended.

Beacon Inn is very conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Sydney and the wharf. The building is attractive and has character. Room included a fireplace, 4-poster bed and oversized tub. Only suggestion is that the breakfast included be served in the very nice downstairs sitting room rather than in room. Adding a European style coffee machine would be amazing too.

It has a great feel about it and the staff were very courteous and friendly. The location is perfect for walking about to explore the quaint town of Sidney by the Sea.

Beautiful small boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Room was large with a comfortable bed, attached bathroom and fireplace. Breakfast was put in a small fridge in my room for the next morning. I found the front desk situation odd though. No one at the desk before 10 am or after 8 pm. Tried calling at 9:30 am to ask how to check out but no one answered. Guests are responsible for making sure the front door was locked when desk person not there, slightly discomforting.

Good location, close to downtown Sidney. Everything is within walking distance. Great Chinese restaurant across the street. Our room (Saturna) was a bit cramped and had the most uncomfortable bed.
