Our 64 room property is an easy 32 kilometers (20 miles) north of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia and we are just minutes from the Victoria International Airport, the BC Ferry Terminal and the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Also close by are the Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, the renowned Mary Winspear Center, amazing whale watching, many organic farms, wineries, outstanding golf courses, great fishing, kayaking and hiking.
We’re a pet-friendly, non-smoking hotel with ample free parking. We offer free wireless, a daily newspaper, coffee machines in every room along with an exercise room. All rooms are fully air conditioned, beautifully carpeted and have modern furnishings. For your convenience, you can choose from rooms with full kitchens, king or queen beds, or with a separate bedroom. The adjoining Smitty’s family-style restaurant is open until 3 p.m. daily.

The hotel is located on the north side of Victoria Island. It takes only 5 minutes to drive to the beautiful small city of Sidney after getting off the ferry. The surrounding restaurants and supermarkets are well-equipped. You can walk to the beach for a meal in a few minutes. It is suitable for a leisurely vacation.
There are plenty of parking spaces, and the staff are mostly white. They are enthusiastic but not rushed. Coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, cookies, and lemonade are placed in an orderly manner. After entering the store, you feel like you are back home.
The facilities are of the standard of old Western hotels. They are not luxurious, but neat and clean.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights recently and it was an excellent choice. Although we had completed the pre check-in form, we were greeted by Nikolai at the front desk, with additional information which included a $25.00 gift card to one of three local businesses, and an invitation to a complimentary reception later that afternoon in the parking lot. He could not have been more welcoming. We attended the reception which included drinks and appetizers, as part of a 40 year celebration at the hotel. We had a one bedroom suite, which included a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove and dishwasher. The suite was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was available in the main building from 6.30am, and there was plenty of choice: cereals, yogurts, fruit, hot dishes and baked goods. The breakfast room was not large and I suspect that people who came at more popular times might find it difficult to get a table. The staff at breakfast were very helpful and quite delightful. Throughout our stay we found that the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and dedicated to do their upmost to make our stay a good one. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend a few days in Sidney, BC. We plan to visit again in the future.

We stayed here before flying out of Victoria and it was a wonderful experience. Rooms were very comfortable and well laid out. The price included a buffet style breakfast and it is one of the best I have had in a hotel. The attendant was constantly replenishing foods. Lots of fresh fruit, good selection of breakfast foods. We didn't have time to explore Sidney this trip but it looks quaint and interesting, and we will do more the next time we stay here. Taxi to the airport was very reasonable and reliable.

A Surprisingly Lovely Hotel.
We had an absolutely lovely stay for just one night. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The beds were very comfortable with soft sheets. There was a small fridge and a coffee maker. The breakfast was very good, with hot options as well as cold. Also lots of parking and easy walk through a beautiful town down to the beach and shore walk.

All of the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, gym was decent and the room was super clean. I would absolutely stay here again anytime.
