AAnonymous UserFirst time staying at a Dormy Inn and we think it’s very value for money. Located just across the street from Nagano station. Room was a tad small but fine for just one night. There are quite a number of “extras” that the hotel provides, which was nice - apple juice in the lobby, hot spring with ice cream, and ramen for supper. Service was really good as well, the reception helped us call ahead to our next accommodation to arrange transportation.

JJames DobleMy room on the 7th floor was comfortable and well-appointed. While not the largest room I've stayed in (around 18 square meters, I believe), it was certainly adequate for my needs as someone who mostly uses the room as a base for exploring. The bed was just right – not too firm, not too soft – and I slept soundly. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the comfortable armchair with an ottoman, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The view from my window wasn't spectacular, overlooking a street partially obscured by another section of the hotel, but I could still see a decent stretch of the city skyline.

GGuest UserAbout 5 minutes walk to the train station and restaurants, but it’s a bit strange that the hotel is located on partial floors of a building. The area is easy to travel with public transport; it only took 15 mins on the bus to the Temple. The staff were helpful during check in. The room is big but old, and the bed sheet got stained, the pillow is quite comfy though. Overall it worths the money considering the location.

NNoelIs a bit far from JR station around 12 mins walk. And hotel exterior is a bit old fashion.
And room layout is a bit strange( hexagonal shape) . Other than that overall is satisfactory, bed very comfortable and big size, staffs are very polite and efficient check in.
Amenities is very sufficient and you don’t need to bring any of your own.

GGuest UserThe hotel located in the area of government buildings. It is therefore very good for business people. They have five restaurants. But because we did not arrange for hotel breakfast, it was a bit difficult to get breakfast around the hotel. But there is a convenient store nearby.
The room was clean. Reception gave us a high floor room with beautiful city view. Appreciate that.
The hotel has three big car parks. Hotel guest needed to pay parking fee of 1000 yen for throughout the stay, which I think is reasonable. The hotel is actually well located - close enough to the sightseeing spots in the city centre.

KKLYKLYHotel service is excellent, room is very clean and breakfast is delicious (Japanese cuisine) .
We enjoy staying there for 8 days, 15 minutes walk from Nagano JR line. If you have many luggages on your way back to Nagano JR station (too much shopping done after the trip 😅) suggest you let the hotel staff know they will book a taxi for you ( only cost JY 900). I had a pleasant stay and fully recharge after a short break. Definitely will be back again. ありがとございますた。

CcereresI booked hotel for short stay in Nagano. My main reason for travel was visiting Snow Monkey Park and exploring Nagano area, i used room only for sleeping and for this purpose it suited well. It located near station, just opposite side from bus stop to Snow Monkey Park, there is 7elevel just in the building next door. I was kinda sad that i couldn’t use hot bath, but i have tattoos and i expected that. Stuff was nice, i was allowed to leave my bags before check-in, room were pretty small, but this is what you expect from this type of accommodation. Overall can recommend

WWei LeThis place is ~5mins walk from Zenkoji temple. neighborhood is peaceful at night.
Shoes to be removed outside the accommodation. Rooms are on the 2nd floor so you'll have to carry your luggage up (there's no lift).
Room (with window) is huge. You'll have to head downstairs to use the shared toilet and shared onsen (no toilet inside the room).
We were only allowed 30mins of onsen time for 2 pax - couples weren't allowed to use the onsen concurrently so we had to go one after another (i'm not sure if the instructions got lost in translation..). Felt very rushed so i didnt really get to enjoy the onsen experience, but overall was nice and clean.
Interesting 6.30am tour around the area and within the temple itself, followed by a simple vegetarian breakfast (porridge with omakase-styled sides with miso soup) back at the accommodation. The morning tour lasted from 6.30am - 8.30am.
The accommodation provided a fleece blanket to each pax to bring to Zenkoji temple to keep us warm during the morning praying ceremony. We went on 30 Dec and it was SO COLD.
Overall interesting experience but accommodation price is pretty steep IMO.

AAnonymous UserThe room was very nice - sufficiently large and with all necessary amenities (even a small fridge). The room was clean and in good condition. The staff was very kind and stored my luggage for free, as I arrived early in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located, yet in a rather quiet place. It's a walking distance from both Nagano station and Zenkoji temple (approximately 20-25 minutes), however, do note that the nearest bus stop is about 900 meters away, so if you got a lot of luggage and do not intend to get a taxi, that may be a bit far. They also have coin operated washing machines and dryers, in case you need them. Overall, a great option for most travelers, especially in terms of value for money.
