Hotel Oak Shizuoka

There was a large women's bath on the 7th floor. When I went in, three people had already entered. Only three people can use the washing area, so you may need to be careful if you are going to be in with a large group of people. Also, the curtains in the changing room were wide open, so I was horrified to think that the woman who had entered before me would have been completely naked and visible from the other buildings. There was no one at the front desk, and it was a touch panel. The escape exits and evacuation routes were unclear, so I thought this hotel would be dangerous if there was a fire.

I only paid around 3,000 yen, but it was really comfortable, even though I only slept in a new and clean room. The check-in machine was a bit of a hassle, but that may have been because I was drunk. The shampoo bar and cleansing products available for rental in bottles were an unexpected and welcome service for women. I didn't use it this time, but it seems there is a large bath that is divided into men's and women's baths, so I would like to use it next time. I also thought it was convenient that they provided a bag that can be used to move around the large bath. There is only one elevator, so depending on the time of day, there may be a wait time, but overall I was very satisfied. I will use it again when I go on a business trip.

It's a little far from Shizuoka Station, but it's about 15 minutes on foot. It's about 8 minutes by bus, so it's not too hard to get to. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so it's a safe place to stay without meals. It's a designer hotel, so the rooms are compact but not cramped. (High ceilings?) The simple desk lamps and wall paintings were stylish and had a relaxing atmosphere. The large public bath was renovated, so it was clean and well-equipped with a Dyson hair dryer and a water dispenser. However, there were some points of concern. ・Around 6 p.m., just after the men's and women's change. (After cleaning?) No other customers were there. The window shade curtains were left open, so I was almost getting changed with them on. Even during the day, it was completely visible from outside, so I felt it would be better to keep them closed at all times. ・The system requires you to enter a separate PIN number for men and women at the entrance. The number can be confirmed on the information on the TV, but the numbers for men and women are posted separately. In other words, malicious people can enter the facility regardless of gender or time of day. Please consider measures such as only letting male customers know the male PIN number.

The rubber strap on the electronic key for the locker in the large public bath was broken. It said check-in was by 22:00, but if you contact the front desk, they will prepare an envelope with a letter with instructions on how to check in by yourself, so you can check in without worry even if you are late. Even though the hotel's parking lot was available, we were directed to a nearby parking lot, and later realized that it was the hotel's parking lot.When we asked the front desk, we were told that we could use it if it was available. However, the nearby parking lot is cheap, costing around ¥500 for 23 hours.
