Sterling Shivalik Chail

Property is valley facing. but currently there's construction activity in the vicinity so that can be a disturbance. it is a hotel rather than a resort so space for kids activity is not available. rooms are comfortable for 2 adults or 3 kids. since we had 2 rooms it was ample for us. TV channels are limited. Food is on the expensive side so plan your meals outside (Shimla/Kufri) if you are on a tight budget. Overall the property is cute and beautiful. Parking space is ample. can go for a walk or just enjoy the rains as we did. Shimla is an hr's drive. Jhaku mandir is a beautiful place to visit. Highlight is Army museum at Annadale is the high light. it's a must visit.

Amazing experience peaceful, beautiful small huts and amazing people. Enjoyed the trail. Good experience with Vishal ji. Guided well. We enjoyed walking rather than by going by car. Scenic beauty, trees. Saw some of the vegetables that are grown

Visited village tour with Vishal our guide of the tour. The experience was amazing and great, we enjoyed walking around the apple orchards. Also Vishal explained us various aspects of apple trees. It was fun as well as we gained knowledge about other vegetation and plants growing around.

Stayed at this property for three nights. The location is at a serene location, away from the touristic crowd which I really preferred. The valley view from the balcony of our rooms ("superior" and "suite") was fine. However, this may depend on the room allocation. We took AP meal package. The meals were really great. We also went for the village tour which was very informative as well as heart-warming. On the day of check-out, the staff packed our lunch (as we missed the lunch on the day of our check-in) with equal care. The USP of the property in my view is the hotel staff. They were prompt in their service and took good care of us which made our stay there very pleasant. Would recommend this property of Sterling to travellers who go for vacation to unwind (and not to party). Would urge people to respect the tranquility of the place. Otherwise, you won't be able to appreciate the existence of such places.
