Their consideration for the 2nd day stay meals were different and gave us delicious sets to eat. Right next to the magnificent view of the famous Ikaho onsen stone stairs with sweet filling desserts.

I was able to enjoy the good old Taisho era buildings. The location was great, right next to Ikaho Shrine. The hot spring was golden and felt great.

An antique traditional Japanese hot spring experience! Because there are not many people, you can have a private bath, which feels great! Overall, it's very good. The waiters are very patient and kind, and some of them can speak English. The breakfast was delicious, but I was so full at the end that I didn't finish it. The restaurant is also very beautiful. Although the facilities are old, they are very clean. There are some details that are not well maintained, which is a pity. Understand that this hotel is a long time old and certainly doesn't feel like a new hotel. The hotel lobby and corridors are actually in good condition. Although they are old, they are very clean. Most of the furniture and tatami in the room are clean and dust-free. The small disadvantages are that the backrest of one of the wicker chairs on the balcony of the room is damaged, the wooden boards on the wall of the private bath are a little dirty (except for the sulfur marks), and the glass also has a lot of scale. I really like the historic feel of this hotel, and I hope the details can be better. After all, the price is not cheap either. The quality of the dinner was a bit lower than expected. The beef hot pot was delicious, but I was a bit underfilled.

The atmosphere is great, but the walls are thin so it's unfortunate that it can be noisy at night if you're staying with students.

The food was delicious and the service was good. The inns are old-fashioned, but most of them have heating and double-glazed windows. If you turn on the air conditioner, it's warm enough. They will lay out the futon for you while you eat. All drinks in the fridge are paid for. The hot springs made my skin smooth and the temperature was just right. They provided free coffee in the morning, and it tasted a bit sour.

The building itself certainly looks like it was built in the Taisho era, but unfortunately it hasn't been well maintained. I stayed in a room called "Oimatsu," and it was generally dirty, and the shoji screens were torn in more than 10 places. 90% of the staff are foreigners, and although they try their best, communication was often difficult. We had to break things down and explain everything, which was a pain. Even during meals, the foreign staff were explaining things to us, but we had no idea what they were saying. I don't think they understood what they were saying either. The room was cold, so they prepared a kerosene fan heater, but there was little kerosene, and it ran out in the middle of the night, so we were very cold. I wish they wouldn't skimp on trivial things. Overall, it was just a historical building, but the hospitality was lacking, making it a mediocre inn. I think Ikaho's Golden Hot Springs itself is a wonderful hot spring, so I recommend other inns.
