The location is absolutely superb. The hotel building is visible as soon as you exit Zhongjie Subway Station, and it's just a two to three-minute walk away. It was incredibly convenient to grab food and drinks nearby after a day out. I found it quite unique that the hotel lobby was located on the 7th floor, but check-in was super fast. With three elevators, we never had to wait long to go up or down. The room itself was great – very spacious, with windows offering views of Zhongjie Street and the Imperial Palace. The shower had excellent water pressure and a perfect temperature. It even had a mini-fridge, which was handy for chilling beers and yogurts for later. While the carpet and a few minor areas showed some signs of age, these were truly insignificant issues. The housekeeping staff were all incredibly polite. Breakfast, also on the 7th floor, offered a great variety of dishes. The prawn noodles, in particular, were absolutely delicious.

We extended our 3-night stay due to the hotel's excellent location. Receptionist Ms. Kivi (黄红娟) demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, showcasing her professionalism. As the first point of contact, the reception counter sets the tone for a guest's experience, and Ms. Kivi truly made a great impression.

The hotel's location was fairly convenient, just a ten-minute walk to Zhongjie. On Amap, you'll often find 'Dashuai Store' (大元帅店), which is the correct one to search for, but definitely *don't* search for 'Joy City Store' (大悦城店). The hotel itself isn't directly located *at* either of those specific places, but it's only about a ten-minute walk from Zhongjie. The hotel lobby is on the second floor, with a coffee shop occupying the ground floor. There's subway construction at the intersection just outside, which caused a lot of dust during the day, but it was still quiet at night. The hotel breakfast was quite basic, but they offered freshly cooked rice noodles and wontons. If you don't have high expectations, it's perfectly adequate for a simple meal. Right outside the hotel, there's a Baitai morning market; if you're an early riser, it's worth a visit. Additionally, the Taisun Spring Pancake & Braised Bone restaurant directly opposite the hotel was pretty good!

The room was very large! Very comfortable! Breakfast was on the fourth floor, with both Chinese and Western options. It was said that it could be delivered to the room, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try it. The fourth-floor terrace offers a view of the Forbidden City, but it's not high enough, so I could only see a tiny bit. The location is also perfect: a three-minute walk to the Forbidden City, a seven- to eight-minute walk to the Marshal's former residence, and a ten-minute walk to Zhongjie Street. Everything is close, and there are plenty of food options all around, all at reasonable prices. The only downside is that none of the switches in the room are labeled, so I had to press them randomly. 😅😅

The hotel environment is very good, suitable for traveling with children, there are two small opinions: there is no slope at the door, it is not convenient to pull luggage, and then the air conditioner should be turned on in advance, the room is not warm in the corridor, haha, just went in ~ 14 degrees, opened for an afternoon only to 21 degrees, a little bit cold, Sleeping is okay, I don’t feel cold ～ It should be solved by opening it in advance ～ Overall good.
