Shenyang Shenhe District Hotels

I'm a local from Shenyang, and for Qixi Festival, I wanted to try something different. This time, I booked a Horizon Club Garden View Room at Shangri-La. The view was fantastic, and in the evening, I could even take a stroll in Youth Park downstairs. The hotel's location is excellent; it connects directly to Kerry Centre Shopping Mall and MixC City underground, making shopping 🛍️ and dining incredibly convenient. **Ambiance:** Shangri-La has a classic, slightly dated feel in its traditional Chinese decor, but it still exudes a stately and comfortable elegance. **Cleanliness:** Spotlessly clean and tidy. I didn't find any neglected spots in the room. **Facilities:** While the in-room facilities are a bit dated, the bedding, in particular, was uncomfortable for me. The standard pillows were very soft, and the mattress was also quite soft, which didn't provide enough support for a comfortable sleep. This can be easily resolved by requesting latex or buckwheat pillows from the front desk, or asking to remove the feather topper from the mattress. (I personally prefer a combination of firm and soft elements for bedding.) Overall, it was acceptable. The hotel's swimming pool is heated. I had researched it before checking in, so I brought my swimsuit. It wasn't crowded, the water was very clean, and the lifeguard was constantly by the poolside, very dedicated. My partner and I swam 30 laps on the day we checked in – it was fantastic. **Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. I arrived before 1 PM, and since there was a vacant room, they arranged for me to check in immediately. Although it was a connecting room, it was very quiet at night and didn't disturb my sleep. However, if available, I would still try to avoid connecting rooms. Since I booked an executive floor room, I had access to the 30th-floor executive lounge. I'm not an elite member, but the overall service and hospitality were excellent and thoughtful. They offer soft drinks and snacks throughout the day. The afternoon tea is simple, with soft drinks and some light bites, but sitting by the window on the 30th floor with its expansive view and relaxing is a truly pleasant experience. The evening Happy Hour can also be quite satisfying if your expectations aren't too high, offering hot and cold dishes, along with alcoholic beverages. Now for the highlight: the Horizon Club breakfast was truly something to look forward to! The à la carte menu offered high-quality dishes, and as a foodie, I was absolutely delighted. It's more distinctive than a standard five-star breakfast. I would definitely return just for this breakfast!

The location is excellent, right at an exit of Metro Line 2. It's just a 4-minute walk to Financial City Exits B and C, and Line 2 provides convenient access to the Liaoning Provincial Museum and the airport. Behind the hotel, there's a snack street, with a night market a bit further in, making it an incredibly convenient spot. The hotel itself was quite clean. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, offering both Chinese staples (like steamed buns, various small dishes, black rice porridge, millet porridge, and tea eggs) and Western options (such as toast and coffee).

The hotel is clean, staffs were friendly. Good location with many stalls in the walking distance. Breakfast was included in the price which so convenience and definitely worth the money. Recommended.

Warm and Memorable Stay at Conrad Shenyang During our stay at Conrad Shenyang, the exceptional service truly impressed us. While the hotel’s location, facilities, and stunning views are fantastic, it’s the thoughtful care from the staff that made our visit unforgettable. When my daughter fell ill and missed breakfast, Room Division Manager Robert kindly set aside some bread for her. The Front Office Guest Services Manager helped arrange medication and even coordinated with the restaurant to prepare millet porridge outside regular hours. Special thanks to Night Guest Services Manager Tom and his team, who went out of their way to assist us with an urgent matter involving local government. Their care made us, as overseas Chinese, feel truly at home. This wonderful experience has deepened our love for China. We are very grateful and highly recommend Conrad Shenyang to all travelers.

The hotel is well located and closed by the train station. The staff are very friendly especially Lina which was very helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable bed. There is a free parking at the back of the hotel which is very convenient. Overall it is a great hotel for the price.

Location: If you want to stay in a reasonably priced, brand-name, chain hotel close to the palace, right next to a subway station, or if you feel young and want to be in the middle of the big city action with bright lights, crowd, food joints, shoppings galore and all, this hotel is a great choice. Perhaps these are why hotel seems to attract a lot of customers (many group bookings). Room's big, quiet, and comfortable with city skyline (and palatial grounds) view and comes with expected amenities and features. (The big screen TV has many selections, even CGTN English news and documentary channels^) Staff: Fantastic and motivated, all working as efficiently as possible, given constraints posed by the constantly heavy customer traffic and turnover rate, and eager to accommodate customers' needs. Special mention goes to Mr. Kevin Lee, Mr. Kang and others at the reception for their proactive hotelier courtesy, rising above language barrier, and their patience dealing with all types of customers. Excellent breakfast in quality, variety and taste - better than those in most other chain hotels in China. Lastly, I've read the reviews on this hotel before coming to stay. There now are 3 elevators serving all floors, and, yes, breakfast still tends to be congested. But, just remember that this is an ageing, busy, hotel attracting a lot of customers (of various educational levels and manners) at the heart of the most popular tourist center, not a luxury resort that comes with commensurate premium in price. Best bang for the buck, if the described hotel conditions are right for you!

This hotel is an absolute gem, I highly recommend it! The location is fantastic; a subway entrance is right downstairs, making it incredibly easy to get around on foot. Perfect for families with kids, you won't have to lug heavy bags around or rush. Getting a taxi is also super convenient. From the moment we checked in, we felt incredibly welcomed. We had booked a 'parent-child' room, and the front desk kindly upgraded us to a family room (which we had discussed in advance). The layout was well-designed, ensuring both adults and children had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The in-room amenities were incredibly thoughtful, with every detail considered. They even prepared special children's toiletries and snacks for the little ones. Staying here, you truly get the warmth of home combined with the convenience of travel. It's absolutely the perfect choice for family trips!

The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bed is incredibly cozy, allowing for a relaxing rest. The room is well-equipped, and the bathroom is clean, neat, and has everything you need. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation, shopping, and dining options. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and tastes great, giving you the energy to start your day. Overall, the Swissotel Shenyang excels in service, facilities, and comfort, making it a highly recommended choice!

Stayed here for 1 night and booked 3 rooms. Very nice and accommodating with free laundry, free minibar assortment and smart room features. Fasho would stay again 10/10 would recommend.
