One can count on certain familiar global standards a trusted name brand brings: Strictly enforced no smoking policy, excellent housekeeping, wifi connectivity, and good included breakfast (got even better from July 7). Room: A big and quiet room on a very quiet floor with comfortable bed and beddings, a mini (vastly^) 'Central Park' view, in room safe, and excellent aircon with easy wall control. TV channel, CCTV English (channel 47), did not show well, but the hotel could not fix this. In this hot weather, a fridge was sorely missed after outings (marts nearby don't sell ice cold drinks). Hotel should consider putting in a mini fridge at a very small cost (instead of urging a room upgrade just for a fridge), or placing a vending machine in the lobby (or floors) dispensing ice cold beverages. Location: This area may look to be a bit removed from touristy attractions, but it is in a friendly 'local' area with eateries and easy transportation (taxi, bus, subway, bike) to access rest of Shenyang. Also close is the nice Dingxiang Lake (end station of subway line 10), where you can go for walks or bike rides. This hotel is a hidden gem for foreign travellers, peaceful, away from madding crowds~
