Stayed as part of a group for 4 nights. A nice hotel with helpful staff and the food in restaurant was fine. It is in a good position high on the seafront, although there isn’t much else close by. There are a lot of steps to get in the main entrance, and we had a problem with the shower which took a couple of days to get sorted. Having a newspaper delivered was a big bonus as many hotels no longer offer this service.

The staff at the Channel View Hotel were excellent and they couldn't do enough for you. We were supposed to have a twin room but we're given a double but the manageress quickly sorted that. Heating was off but we were issued with a heater. I can recommend this hotel for people with no mobility problems. Unfortunately many of our coach had sticks or walker's, there was a disabled access but it meant navigating a steep slope. All the corridors had steps and doors which for the disabled caused problems. I do feel that all customers should be aware that this hotel has these issues. I only want to add that the food and entertainment were excellent. Such a shame about access. People without mobility problems would love it.

Beautiful hotel very welcoming room lovely clean and warm staff very helpful and efficient and so polite. A good selection of food for breakfast and evening meal and plenty of entertainment my friend and I went for a line dancing weekend great fun would certainly recommend

Fantastic hotel. Staff are very helpful. Great breakfast. Will try to go back ASAP. This hotel is in a prime location, close to the beach short walk down the hill. We used the beach lift to get back up. Crazy golf looks like fun. Easy place tobtravelbround island. I would highly reccomended this hotel.

The staff are great. They are all very helpful and polite. The restaurant is placed in a fabulous position overlooking the spectacular views of the Solent. The evening entertainment is surprisingly very good and we enjoyed all the artists that we saw.

The room was small but pretty good with a nice view. The room with two chairs but only one suitcase holder - no place for second suitcase except on floor. The hotel had creaky floors. We could hear people walking overhead. The bathroom needs some scrubbing of the walls, shower, and tub. The breakfast was mediocre – no yogurt, no granola, and not much choice of fruit (only grapefruit or prunes). The hotel was quiet outside.

Lovely hotel, large spacious bedroom with magnificent sea views Met by John , Deputy manager , lovely guy, very helpful and friendly Waiting staff were top class as was the meals Would highly recommend this hotel Close to all amenities, fab shops etc.

We travelled as part of a bowls tour of 48. Staying for 3 nights. Check in process was done well and our room was comfortable, serviced each day and kept very clean. The many steps were a bit of a challenge for some of our party. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and accommodating in our requests. Breakfast was good, evening meal a bit variable, the fish and chips could be improved. For many the Isle of Wight was a trip down memory lane as wasn’t much changed since our childhood. One of our best tours.
