This is a cosy 'traditional' kind of hotel: no preteisions. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff are super friendly and very efficient and the food was excellent.

We had the most amazing time. I was caring for my mother and the staff were helpful and very accommodating. The food was lovely and facilities more than adequate. On leaving I felt that I was saying goodbye to extended family. Would I visit again? Absolutely and look forward to every minute. Well done. Just keep being awesome. Much love

I traveled on a coach tour the food was terrible no vegetables on an evening meal the staff were good but the restaurant let the hotel down

It was a great experience to be in Shanklin - beautiful places to visit etc. The hotel has a superb location, great views and very helpful staff. During our stay if we had any problems or questions, the staff were most helpful, cheerful and kind. Thank you very much!

Comfortable hotel with very good views and a short walk into Shanklin. I found the staff very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good and tidy entertainment. Rooms are a bit dated but then the price would go up so no complaints there. What stood out for me was the efficiency of the staff. Well done everyone.

Stayed as part of a group for 4 nights. A nice hotel with helpful staff and the food in restaurant was fine. It is in a good position high on the seafront, although there isn’t much else close by. There are a lot of steps to get in the main entrance, and we had a problem with the shower which took a couple of days to get sorted. Having a newspaper delivered was a big bonus as many hotels no longer offer this service.

The staff at the Channel View Hotel were excellent and they couldn't do enough for you. We were supposed to have a twin room but we're given a double but the manageress quickly sorted that. Heating was off but we were issued with a heater. I can recommend this hotel for people with no mobility problems. Unfortunately many of our coach had sticks or walker's, there was a disabled access but it meant navigating a steep slope. All the corridors had steps and doors which for the disabled caused problems. I do feel that all customers should be aware that this hotel has these issues. I only want to add that the food and entertainment were excellent. Such a shame about access. People without mobility problems would love it.

Beautiful hotel very welcoming room lovely clean and warm staff very helpful and efficient and so polite. A good selection of food for breakfast and evening meal and plenty of entertainment my friend and I went for a line dancing weekend great fun would certainly recommend
