This place is run by the kindest, friendliest people we have met. The facilities were great and new but the people were the highlight. We ate with them, drank tea with them, learnt so much from them. They helped us with whatever we needed without charge.

The staff gave consciously gave us a room with a broken door lock and did not even inform us. When we realized that we can’t lock the door and asked the employee about it he got really defensive and started to quarrel with us :) also, the rooms are all facing the courtyard which makes it impossible to sleep when someone is there. On our first and last night there were people there until midnight. On the good part the location is good and the other employee was more considerate and made sure we have all the necessities.

Because it is a Tibetan-style house, the sound insulation is quite poor. Living on the first floor will inevitably be disturbed by the sound of people walking and dragging things upstairs. But the most persistent sound trouble is that this homestay starts after 8 o'clock in the evening and lasts until 11 or 12 o'clock in the evening, playing cards and chatting. I think it is run as a homestay after all, at least considering the guests' accommodation experience.
