In order to be closer to Pudong Airport the next day, I chose a location in the middle of Pudong. I also wanted to eat, drink and go shopping. I saw that there was a night market nearby, and I wanted to eat Guizhou Laoguo. It was 300+. With two 14+ children, the family room here was just what I wanted. Like many budget hotels, the shower room was running water, and the room was a bit damp, but we didn't stay in the bathroom. The shower water was very good and comfortable. After turning on the air conditioner for a while, the room was much drier. The bed was also comfortable, and we slept very well. A 10+ minute walk nearby is the Little Shanghai Pedestrian Street. If you are too lazy to walk, there is a restaurant downstairs. We went to Guizhou Laoguo for dinner. The prices here are much cheaper than those in Beijing and Shanghai, and the taste is good. After dinner, we went to the pedestrian street to eat snacks. No one could eat it, so we drank a 6 yuan rose mung bean soup. For breakfast, we walked a little further, 15+ minutes, to Lao Changsheng Soup Dumpling Restaurant to eat pan-fried Su-style noodles. Finally, I took a taxi from here for 100 yuan and it took 35 minutes to get to Pudong. I was satisfied.

I booked this hotel for its proximity to Shanghai Disneyland and the pictures look good. And it didn't disappoint. The rooms were very modern, clean, huge and the beds were comfortable. I like the separate shower (especially the rain shower) and toilet area. The free shutter to SDL is very convenient and a bonus but the hotel is located 5 minutes away from the local metro (line 11). It's only 1 station away from Shanghai Disneyland station. It's too hard to find the bus for the return trip and the hotel didn't offer very good instructions on how to board the return bus. But the train station is only one stop away and costs RMB3. I would stay at this hotel again if I were to visit SDL but it's too far away from the city centre (I booked another hotel for the city). The hotel offers an extra service to book early entry passes into SDL which was really really helpful. The listed price was RMB189 and I paid RMB210 for this service and it was worth every cent. I entered SDL at 7am and was able to do all the rides I wanted in 1 day. Highly recommended.
