Shanghai Pudong New Area 3-star Hotels

It is a great place to live in for a solar trailer and very cheap closer to the airport and they have an economic breakfast and the staff are very friendly especially at the reception 

Great hotel for a couple of nights. Comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Bath with hot water ❤️. No problem checking in late at night. It is very convenient that the owner provides a transfer to Disneyland and back. Everyone is very responsive and friendly. Disadvantages: not very good WiFi, and the air conditioning is not strong enough. But for a couple of nights in cool autumn weather this is normal, not critical.

After spending three weeks traveling across China, I chose Joy Hotel for a well-deserved rest before heading home — and it was the right choice. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport, and the free shuttle service that runs every hour is a big plus. The hotel itself is very clean, and despite being in the middle of nowhere, it offers great value. My room was spacious, had everything I needed for my three-night stay, and toiletries were available at the front desk. The stay also included breakfast, which had a wide variety of tasty options. The only downside was the front desk service. The staff seemed inexperienced and at times distracted — possibly using personal phones or multitasking when guests needed help. It came across as a bit unprofessional, but something management could easily improve. Overall, aside from the front desk and remote location, this hotel is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to recharge before flying out.

Airport is conveniently located in the airport between T1 and T2. However if you are a transit traveler you should go out a transit zone, fill the forms, go through immigration gate and get a short-stay visa. It will take up to an hour. Better the hotel would be inside the transit zone. As for the hotel - it’s very big. Carpets in the corridor have a lot of stains, look like they were not changed more than 10 years. Reception area is also shabby and old-fashioned. The room is about 18-20 m, not very big. There are toiletries, slippers, water, kettle, tea. No fridge. Rather silent. But despite the fact I asked for silent room they settle us near the room where housekeeping ladies kept bedding so they were laughing and talking very loudly near our room. We were trying to get asleep after long night flight and finally I got out of bed and asked them to be quiet. All in all impression that the management doesn’t take any actions towards increasing service and renovating the interior.

The room is very unique, with a glass roof, which the children love very much. When you open your eyes in the morning, you can see the beautiful morning glow, and you can see the sunrise while lying on the bed. With the desolate notes outside the window and the tranquility of the countryside, it is a great experience... The boss is very enthusiastic

I had a wonderful stay! The cleanliness was impeccable, and I truly appreciated how well-maintained everything was. The design of the place was unique and special, giving a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. The service was exceptional—whenever I had any questions or needed assistance, they responded quickly and were always eager to help. The hotel’s proximity to the Disney Resort is a huge plus, and the shuttle service made getting there incredibly convenient. I also loved the thoughtful inclusion of breakfast, which made my mornings even better. Highly recommend!

Very nice gentleman picked us up and dropped us off at the Shanghai Pudong airport with clear instructions. Room is very nice, while need to order food via *******. Pool does not seem to be in usable condition.

Highly recommended! We had a great time here and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has lots of interesting types of designed rooms and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They provide the shuttle bus to and from Disney Land as well as the airports multiple times through the day. The staff helped us to upgrade the room with no charge. You can rent the pram from the hotel which made it very convenient for the parent with kids like us to get through the day at Disneyland. There’s an outdoor pool as well. You can even borrow the foot bath tub and single use plastic bag for free, which is super helpful after walking 30,000 steps in Disneyland.

We arrived earlier than the official check in time but were warmly served by Chris and Snow at the front desk. They were fast and even upgraded us to the high floor room! Such a lovely service received since the beginning of our stay. Room was excellent, very clean with complete amenities, close to the airport and offers airport shuttle service. We had toncheck out earlier than the breakfast hours but they packed us with some bread, egg and banana to go. Loved our stay here. Will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located near exhibition centre and Laya Plaza mall. Has its own parking and 500 m from metro station. The rooms are small but have window and clean. The toilet is equipped with toiletries and clean towels. They hotel offers free Do it your own laundry, dry and ironing service which is great. The breakfast is good although most items are Chinese dishes but salads, eggs, fruits, juice milk and cake can be had by western and other asian non Chinese food eating people. The reception is manned 24 hrs and has luggage storage and outside food order delivery service to room by robot. They have strict checkout policy at 12 otherwise payable by every hour. The hotel is not part of Accor anymore despite the same name and is under H brand of hotels as per reception staff.
