I chose the Swissôtel near Jing'an Temple for the convenience of meeting friends. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are fully functional and in good working order. What truly impressed me was the hotel management, which upholds the high standards expected of a reputable, established hotel. My check-in experience was excellent, and the entire stay was very comfortable, completely devoid of the stuffy or dated atmosphere often associated with older properties.

I was in Shanghai for an exhibition and booked The Kunlun Hotel through an online travel platform. Its location is fantastic, super close to the subway; just 100 meters from Exit 12 of Jing'an Temple Station! Stepping inside, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and grandeur. The lobby is expansive, with high ceilings, and feels incredibly opulent. I stayed on a high floor. My initial room was on the 23rd floor, offering a view of Jing'an Temple. Unfortunately, there was a minor issue: the air conditioner started leaking, so I had to switch rooms. My second room, on the 28th floor, then had a splendid view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. From both high vantage points, Shanghai's bustling traffic looked incredibly dense and vibrant. As someone who can feel overwhelmed by crowded patterns, it was quite a sight! The hotel also generously invited me to a buffet meal at their 38th-floor restaurant. There was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, though I regret forgetting to take photos. The Japanese ramen was decent, and overall, it was a simple yet satisfying meal. However, I must say, sitting by the window and looking down offered a truly commanding perspective, allowing me to once again soak in Shanghai's dynamic energy. It was a wonderful experience! As for the room itself, it was perfectly equipped with everything one could need and was genuinely comfortable and well-appointed! A quick tip for fellow travelers: toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so if you forget yours, remember to ask for one at the front desk. I was a bit rushed during check-out, so I didn't get a chance to photograph the breakfast buffet area. However, the breakfast buffet actually offered a great ambiance and a wide variety of choices – it was quite good! Should I visit Shanghai again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

Hotel Review – 5 Stars Location: Shanghai, China I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve visited in a long time during my trip to Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel radiated quality and comfort. The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, with modern decor that still managed to feel warm and inviting. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathroom, reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort. The service was excellent across the board. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Another huge plus was the location – very convenient and well connected, making it easy to explore the city while having a calm, luxurious retreat to return to at the end of the day. I’ll absolutely be referring this hotel to many friends and would happily return myself. If you’re looking for a high-end stay in Shanghai that blends beauty, comfort, and service, this hotel is a perfect choice.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here, and it's always exceptional. I genuinely don't want to stay at any other hotel in Shanghai now! 😂 All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me with my check-out at 7 AM on August 22nd. ❤️ The lobby bar offers great drinks, and their seasonal menu is a delightful touch! The only 'downside' is that the beds are *so* incredibly comfortable that after all these stays, I still haven't managed to get myself to the gym in the mornings! 🤣 I also just discovered that Metro Line 7 goes directly to Longyang Road, and Exit 9 is right outside the hotel! This is absolutely perfect for someone like me who gets carsick and prefers taking the subway for airport transfers. 🥰 (And a bonus tip: even if you accidentally take the wrong line, you can exit from Line 2 at Reel Department Store, head to B1, and easily transfer to the Line 7 exit. Super convenient!)

For a designer hotel, the service genuinely exceeded my expectations. It deviates from the typical service style of traditional luxury hotels; instead, the reception staff treated me more like a 'friend' in need, actively going above and beyond to help. As I'm quite open-minded, I found this to be a rather positive experience, though I understand that personal preferences vary. The room facilities were incredibly innovative, such as the pull-cord light switches. The 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows beautifully framed the LV boat design, and the ambiance created by the combination of dispersed lighting and New Chinese aesthetics was truly impressive. Numerous thoughtful small details were also present, like a Dyson hairdryer and even small dumbbells, ensuring guests could maintain their fitness routines. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay.

A fantastic mix of Chinese and Western selections, plus local specialty dim sum. The freshly made omelets and Suzhou-style noodles are absolute must-tries! The room was excellent! Despite being renovated 13 years ago, the facilities are impeccably maintained. Closing the sliding wooden door to the bedroom made it feel incredibly cozy and comfortable. Opening the curtains revealed the Shanghai Bund skyline right from the bed. Traveling with my parents this time, we appreciated that an extra bed could be added in the living room. While it was a bit basic, it was perfectly fine for sleeping. Breakfast on the 55th floor was excellent, and the views were stunning! The hot dishes were better than those offered on the first floor. The fruit and ice cream rotating display in the first-floor restaurant was quite interesting. Overall, it's definitely worth experiencing!

I had an excellent experience staying at the Moller Villa. Free welcome gift in each room is a bonus .  All staff were friendly and provided great help.  One female staff at the front desk was very considerate, upgrading one of my room to be next to my other room.  The breakfast buffet had a variety of items that were all delicious. Also I enjoyed the hotel’s afternoon tea and two nights of dinner. It’s worth listening to the detailed story of the moller villa through the complimentary tour.  The hotel’s structure is unique and the view is beautiful .  It’s a wonderful place for taking pictures .  In summary, I had an excellent experience staying at the hotel; definitely recommend to my friends.  When I checked out , Cristian Guo and Devin Jiang were very kind to offer two small free gifts .  Thank you very much.

The hotel upgraded our room to executive and it comes with dinner at their Chinese restaurant. However, we were unable to make it for dinner and they offered to change it to lunch. They sent our luggage up to the room while we enjoyed the lunch. Their services are excellent and they have a counter for parcel collection on behalf of the guest. Even if the parcel arrived earlier than the day we checked into the hotel, they will receive it on behalf based on the guest name. Excellent services! The bed is big and comfortable.

GGongqiIs the Ritz-Carlton trying to position itself alongside hotels like Hilton and Pullman now? Seriously, the hygiene, facilities, and service were truly subpar across the board. On the first night, the room we were assigned had a terrible stench, exactly like a dirty public restroom. We waited for over half an hour to switch rooms, only to be given another room that reeked of mildew. The bed was noticeably damp, and it was clear the linens hadn't been changed. What's more, the complimentary bottled water had already been opened! But it was too late and we were too exhausted to request another change. So, I called the front desk and informed them that I would need a different room the next day—one without any odd smells and with a dry, clean bed. The next day, after returning from lunch, we were told our new room still wasn't ready. Around 2 or 3 PM, when we were about to leave, I called the front desk again. They said the room was ready and they'd send someone with the key card (it sounded like I was talking to the operator, not the front desk directly). We then waited for 40-50 minutes, but no key card arrived. I called again, and the operator seemed surprised, asking, 'It hasn't been sent yet?' She said she'd follow up. Another twenty minutes passed, and still nothing. I called *again*, emphasizing that we were in a rush to leave and asked them to transfer our luggage for us. The operator asked us to please wait a little longer in the room, assuring us someone would be right over. After *another* considerable wait, the front desk called and said, 'Actually, your new room isn't ready yet.' Are you playing games with me?! Honestly, staying here was beyond frustrating! The pervasive mildew smell was truly nauseating.

GGuest UserAn Exceptional Five-Star Experience! This Hotel Has Completely Transformed My View of Business Travel! As an urban professional who frequently travels for business, I've stayed in hundreds of hotels across the country, but this experience easily makes it into my top three! From booking to check-out, every single detail demonstrated the hotel's unwavering commitment to impeccable quality and attentive guest service. **First Impressions: Truly Dazzling!** Upon arrival, a concierge warmly greeted me and immediately offered to help with my luggage. The lobby design seamlessly blends modern art with oriental aesthetics; its nearly 10-meter high soaring ceiling, adorned with crystal chandeliers, creates an atmosphere that is both grand and wonderfully inviting. Check-in at the front desk was incredibly efficient, taking just three minutes to complete all formalities, and they thoughtfully assigned me a room I was delighted with. **The Room: Absolutely Flawless!** The moment I opened the door, I couldn't help but exclaim 'Wow!' My 60+ square meter deluxe king room was incredibly spacious and bright, with 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. The bedding was supremely luxurious; sleeping in it felt like floating on clouds. The ergonomic chair in the dedicated work area meant I could work late into the night without feeling any fatigue. The most delightful surprise was finding local specialty snacks and a handwritten welcome card in the minibar. It’s these thoughtful, personal touches that truly make a difference. **Impeccable Facilities!** The 24-hour fitness center was equipped with the very latest Life Fitness machines, and professional trainers were on hand to offer guidance. The heated pool boasted crystal-clear water, and the sauna in the changing room was the perfect spot to unwind and melt away any fatigue. **Heartwarming Service That Goes Above and Beyond!** Returning to my room on the second evening, I discovered that not only had turn-down service been completed, but a warm cup of bedtime tea and a handwritten weather forecast had been thoughtfully placed by the bedside. On my check-out day, when my flight was delayed, Fanny and Chris at the front desk proactively offered a complimentary late check-out until 4 PM. This kind of considerate, above-and-beyond service truly made me feel 'at home' – a genuine sense of being a welcomed guest. **Unbeatable Location!** The hotel boasts a prime location in the city's central business district. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the subway station, making airport access incredibly convenient. Situated right next to Shanghai Railway Station, there's an abundance of dining and shopping options nearby. In the evenings, I could even enjoy a leisurely walk to iconic city landmarks. This stay completely redefined my perception of business hotels; who knew business trips could be this enjoyable! I've already applied to have this hotel added to our company's preferred hotel list. From now on, whenever I visit this city, this will absolutely be my go-to choice. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to all business travelers and vacationers seeking unparalleled quality. Believe me, this is an absolutely fantastic and exceptional value for money experience!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, featuring two comfortable beds and plenty of room. The view from the 18th floor was excellent and very expansive. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly; hotel personnel greeted us warmly upon arrival, and the bell staff promptly assisted with luggage storage. The hotel lobby was grand and impressive. Surprisingly, floors four and five house a lively food street, a cinema, and a children's play area. The location is superb: right outside, there's a bustling shopping street, an RT-Mart supermarket is next door, and Jiuguang Department Store is just a minute's walk across the road. Shanghai Railway Station is only two subway stops away, and Tongji University Tenth People's Hospital is a mere four-minute walk. The nearest subway station is also just a six-minute walk. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I hope the hotel continues its excellent service, though I would suggest that the room carpets could use a thorough cleaning.
