Facilities: The facilities are a little dated, but very comprehensive. The hotel lobby has a unique character, and the air conditioning works great. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was prompt. Location: Surrounded by major shopping malls and located right next to Jing'an Temple, with an abundance of fantastic dining options in the vicinity. Service: The service was undoubtedly the most impressive aspect of this stay; it was absolutely stellar and made for an incredibly smooth and pleasant experience.

Staying in the he KunLun Grand Hotel in Jing an Shanghai, was the best experience ever. The best location in the center of Shanghai, 2 mins to the Metro station. Staying in the hotel, is the best choice also , all the staff I met is very courteous, and they tried best to help me with everything, such as carrying luggage, best room to suit my needs, guide me to the place where I can go. The cleaner was very nice, she always made my room very clean and neat. Further more, the price of staying in the hotel, is reasonable. I enjoyed the Shanghai view from my room window. I will definitely to going back and stay in the best hotel, if I travel to Shanghai again. Thanks for all the staff I met :Mr Zhou, Mr Wang, Ms. Wu, including some staff who I didn't know their names.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a Standard Twin Bed room, which included breakfast. The room wasn't too big or too small — just right for two people. Each bed was about 110 cm wide, which was comfortable enough for a single sleeper. On the first day, we got a room that smelled like cigarette smoke. We thought turning on the AC would remove the smell, but it didn’t, so we couldn’t sleep all night. On the second day, we asked to change rooms and were given one that didn’t smell anymore. Breakfast had a good variety, offering Western, Chinese, and Asian options. There were several types of porridge, and the Chinese dishes tasted authentic and flavorful. We requested a late check-out until 2 PM, and it was approved, but we ended up checking out earlier at around 12:30 PM. The building is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and mobile phone repair shops. The location is quite strategic — it's close to the train station, which made it easy to travel both within the city and to other destinations.

I simply *must* commend Ryan, the duty manager at The PuLi Hotel! We ran into a small snag during check-in, and he quickly arrived, patiently listened to everything, and efficiently coordinated a professional and incredibly thoughtful resolution. He even made a point to follow up later to check on our experience. His meticulous attention to detail made us feel completely cared for, instantly melting away any initial frustration. Knowing there's a manager like him on staff makes staying here so incredibly comfortable and secure. We'll absolutely be choosing The PuLi again on our next visit to Shanghai!

I had an excellent experience staying at the Moller Villa. Free welcome gift in each room is a bonus .  All staff were friendly and provided great help.  One female staff at the front desk was very considerate, upgrading one of my room to be next to my other room.  The breakfast buffet had a variety of items that were all delicious. Also I enjoyed the hotel’s afternoon tea and two nights of dinner. It’s worth listening to the detailed story of the moller villa through the complimentary tour.  The hotel’s structure is unique and the view is beautiful .  It’s a wonderful place for taking pictures .  In summary, I had an excellent experience staying at the hotel; definitely recommend to my friends.  When I checked out , Cristian Guo and Devin Jiang were very kind to offer two small free gifts .  Thank you very much.

The hotel upgraded our room to executive and it comes with dinner at their Chinese restaurant. However, we were unable to make it for dinner and they offered to change it to lunch. They sent our luggage up to the room while we enjoyed the lunch. Their services are excellent and they have a counter for parcel collection on behalf of the guest. Even if the parcel arrived earlier than the day we checked into the hotel, they will receive it on behalf based on the guest name. Excellent services! The bed is big and comfortable.

Hotel Review – 5 Stars Location: Shanghai, China I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve visited in a long time during my trip to Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel radiated quality and comfort. The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, with modern decor that still managed to feel warm and inviting. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathroom, reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort. The service was excellent across the board. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Another huge plus was the location – very convenient and well connected, making it easy to explore the city while having a calm, luxurious retreat to return to at the end of the day. I’ll absolutely be referring this hotel to many friends and would happily return myself. If you’re looking for a high-end stay in Shanghai that blends beauty, comfort, and service, this hotel is a perfect choice.

We stayed in the Art Deco room, which was nice. The bath looking out over the city is great. The breakfast was very disappointing. There’s no one there to check you in, explain the process/options or show you to a table. The food is very mediocre but the service is quite terrible. The restaurant staff talk very loudly to each other and don’t seem to understand paying guests are eating their breakfast. They are very unprofessional. I stayed 3 nights and had the same experience every morning. I had to wait 20 mins for a coffee too. If I stay here again I’ll skip the breakfast and instead head over to Starbucks a few mins walk away. I’d booked this hotel mainly for the terrace and restaurant options but all were closed apart from the lobby bistro. Overall, a lovely room with 3 star service.

The Middle House was really a luxury home away from home. The staff were excellent and assisted me in all ways possible and helped me with some of my restaurant reservations ahead of time at my request. The rooms were clean and the decor was excellent. You truly feel relaxed and pampered here. My only recommendation is the door staff to be more attentive and take more of an initiative to patrons getting off the cars during rainy days, trying to keep both us and our belongings dry when we return from an outing. Otherwise excellent!!! Keep it up!

GGongqiIs the Ritz-Carlton trying to position itself alongside hotels like Hilton and Pullman now? Seriously, the hygiene, facilities, and service were truly subpar across the board. On the first night, the room we were assigned had a terrible stench, exactly like a dirty public restroom. We waited for over half an hour to switch rooms, only to be given another room that reeked of mildew. The bed was noticeably damp, and it was clear the linens hadn't been changed. What's more, the complimentary bottled water had already been opened! But it was too late and we were too exhausted to request another change. So, I called the front desk and informed them that I would need a different room the next day—one without any odd smells and with a dry, clean bed. The next day, after returning from lunch, we were told our new room still wasn't ready. Around 2 or 3 PM, when we were about to leave, I called the front desk again. They said the room was ready and they'd send someone with the key card (it sounded like I was talking to the operator, not the front desk directly). We then waited for 40-50 minutes, but no key card arrived. I called again, and the operator seemed surprised, asking, 'It hasn't been sent yet?' She said she'd follow up. Another twenty minutes passed, and still nothing. I called *again*, emphasizing that we were in a rush to leave and asked them to transfer our luggage for us. The operator asked us to please wait a little longer in the room, assuring us someone would be right over. After *another* considerable wait, the front desk called and said, 'Actually, your new room isn't ready yet.' Are you playing games with me?! Honestly, staying here was beyond frustrating! The pervasive mildew smell was truly nauseating.

GGuest UserI had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! First off, the location is superb. It's just a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station, situated right by Suzhou Creek. The area is incredibly peaceful, both morning and night. With the windows closed, you barely hear any outside noise, which made for a very restful sleep. The lobby is also very spacious and bright, featuring a sophisticated dark green color palette. The ambient scent was delightful, making it very comfortable to relax in the lobby. The facilities are well-maintained and feel brand new. The air conditioning in the room was incredibly powerful, providing ample cool air without any sudden temperature fluctuations. The smart TV allowed for super-fast screen mirroring from my phone, making movie nights in bed wonderfully enjoyable. Additionally, the round bathtub was quite stylish; hot water came instantly with excellent water pressure, ensuring a very comfortable bath. Plus, the drain was efficient, preventing any water from pooling. The hairdryer was a powerful, branded model, drying my hair in just a few minutes. The service was truly exceptional. Yesterday afternoon, it started raining when I left, so I asked the concierge for an umbrella. Nick, noticing I had several people with me, generously offered two. Very thoughtful of him! When I ran out of bottled water in the room, I made a quick call. The operator, Fanny, had someone deliver fresh bottles in less than three minutes, even suggesting on the phone, 'Take two extra bottles just in case.' Such excellent attention to detail! Cleanliness was also top-notch. There were no strange odors upon entering the room, and the bed sheets and duvet covers looked pristine white and clean, feeling wonderfully soft with absolutely no post-wash stiffness. The bathroom's glass doors and mirrors were sparkling clean. The toilet seat was automatically heated, and while it's summer, I'm accustomed to heated toilet seats year-round, which is a very welcome feature for me. Overall, this stay was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit – it offers fantastic value for money!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, featuring two comfortable beds and plenty of room. The view from the 18th floor was excellent and very expansive. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly; hotel personnel greeted us warmly upon arrival, and the bell staff promptly assisted with luggage storage. The hotel lobby was grand and impressive. Surprisingly, floors four and five house a lively food street, a cinema, and a children's play area. The location is superb: right outside, there's a bustling shopping street, an RT-Mart supermarket is next door, and Jiuguang Department Store is just a minute's walk across the road. Shanghai Railway Station is only two subway stops away, and Tongji University Tenth People's Hospital is a mere four-minute walk. The nearest subway station is also just a six-minute walk. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I hope the hotel continues its excellent service, though I would suggest that the room carpets could use a thorough cleaning.
