Shanghai Jing'an District 4-star Hotels

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk from the subway. However, neither the hotel’s website nor Trip.com clearly states which station is closest. For first-time visitors, take the subway to Wuding Road Station and use Exit 1, which is the nearest exit to the hotel. There’s a FamilyMart across the street, but it doesn't stock many decent food or snack options. Instead, if you turn left after exiting the hotel and walk about 150 meters, you’ll find a local fruit and vegetable shop, along with a great noodle shop—perfect for a casual meal. The hotel lobby gives off a relaxed café/bar vibe, serving drinks and snacks throughout the day. The room design is modern and cozy. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I also liked that the bathroom and toilet are separate, which adds convenience. Minibar & Amenities The minibar includes a well-functioning refrigerator, complimentary snacks and soft drinks, and even a Nespresso coffee machine, which was a nice touch. There’s a self-service laundry room, which guests can use free of charge. Detergent is also provided. However, there are only three washing machines and three dryers, which is not sufficient for the number of guests. After a long travel day, many people head to the laundry room, so there’s often a queue. The dryers aren’t very hot, so drying takes longer—around 1 hour and 20 minutes per load—which creates further delays for others waiting. Fitness Center The fitness center includes two treadmills, one elliptical machine, a Smith machine, and a full rack of dumbbells. I can’t recall the brand, but the equipment was of good quality and well-maintained. Breakfast Given the Hyatt branding, I expected a better breakfast selection. Variety? It depends what you’re comparing it to. Compared to other Hyatt hotels in Thailand or other 4-star properties, this breakfast was underwhelming. In Thailand, I’ve experienced full breakfast lines with scrambled eggs, omelets, various egg styles, American breakfast items, Chinese and Japanese options, and high-quality bakery items. This hotel’s offering felt limited in comparison. Staff The housekeeping team was the highlight of my stay. In particular, the two ladies on the 5th and 6th floors provided excellent service. They kept the room spotless, were always smiling, and made me feel genuinely welcome.

It's our second staying in this hotel. Highly recommend it. Location is good, service is great, stuff is helpful, clean. Offer free coffee any time, some drinks. Have space for the meeting at the first flow, lovely cats.

This hotel is very near to the Shanghai railway station and from Pudong airport we take the maglev n changed to the train that took us to the station n after alighting just a short walk to the hotel . Although we reached at 9.30 am they let us check in without even us asking for it. The family room is very spacious , look very new and clean and everting works fine . I will definitely book this hotel again if I visit Shanghai as the price is very good too

Pros: great location, very stylish designer rooms with beautiful reclaimed red wood furnishing. Friendly staff. Cons: there was a loud sound of water running in the ceiling, we guessed it was water running in pipes, it was loud enough that we wanted ear plugs. We called reception at 5:30am to ask for plugs but nobody answered our call. When we politely complained in the morning we were told it was the air-con system. We found it hard to believe that anyone would rent a room with such a noisy air con system, let alone without ear plugs. Also, the water from the taps and shower never got hot, only warm.

Good location with 10 mins walk to MRT Line 1. Take 5 stops to 人民廣场 which is the tourist spot tourist spot. Also easy to change to other MRT Line. Breakfast is so so. I like the free self service laundry service. Room is pretty small but considering it’s located near city, we are good with it. A lot eateries nearby. The beef noodle shop just beside the hotel open 24 hours. Turn right from the hotel entrance and another right turn has a good massage center name DTD 大桶大. Overall the hotel has everything I need.

Overall, I had a great stay at the hotel. It’s a lovely spot with a lot to offer, and I would definitely recommend it! Fantastic Location: It’s just a short walk from the Shanghai Railway Station, which made getting around super easy. Beautiful Views: There’s a lovely river right behind the hotel, perfect for relaxing walks. Comfortable Room: The room was cozy and provided everything I needed. Good Breakfast: The breakfast was tasty and had enough options to start my day right.

Amazing location. Absolutely perfect for a busy schedule in Shanghai. It’s literally across the street from the subway station with the subway that connects both airports and many other places in the city. The surroundings are superb! Apple Store across the street, beautiful thai restaurant by the lake and el Bodegon (best Argentinean restaurant in town) 5 minutes walk! The staff at the hotel can’t be nicer!! They are so helpful and attentive. If I didn’t get his name wrong; it was Mr. Marlon at reception that made a huge difference together with every single person who works at the hotel. The view and light from the room were great! A bit old school and some stains on the carpet, but overall super nice stay Perfect for touring Shanghai or commuting back and forth

I've stayed at this outstanding hotel on my first visit and I come back again to spend more time because it's such a great experience to be at the Metropark Jichen Hotel Shanghai. I was welcomed by a great staff Iris who upgraded my room and took every chance to make my stay very enjoyable and comfortable. This amazing hotel is located in the heart of Shanghai convinatly close to everything you are looking for. The rooms are so clean and tidy. very amazing staff. The breakfast is outstanding and you can find so many delicious recipes and dishes. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers and will definitely come back again.

I love their services. Staff are friendly (both front desk and housekeeping). The hotel is clean and nearby to eatery (Chinese noodle stall/McDonald's/Western restaurant etc), convenient store (24hrs Lawson) and Luckin Coffee. Even if we reach the hotel super late like midnight we can still get food either via Lawson or takeaway (not available to deliver to the room but there is a placement counter outside the hotel which I sometimes ordered via alipay app when on the road back to the hotel so I can collect when I reach the hotel). Very easily get Didi from the hotel as the hotel is near to Shanghai railway station (Didi driver told me this area has a lot of Didi available due to the railway station).

It was overall a great stay. The lobby is cozy, fragrant and dimly lit with soft yellow lighting. The room is not very big but there was enough space to move around comfortably. Love the shower with instant heating and water temperature digitally displayed and the hairdryer has good wind strength. The toilet seat is electronically kept warm and wash basin tap comes with hot water, which really made a difference during cold weather. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with variety enough for a nutritious start to the day. The noodles made by the robot was unexpectedly quite tasty. The complimentary late night porridge was also a warm touch to end the day for guests. There are books spread out throughout the public spaces for guests to borrow (all Chinese books though). The location is rather convenient, about 10-15min walk to 2 metro stations, Jing An Temple Station and Nanjing West Rd station, lots of eateries nearby and a few shopping malls like Kerry Centre are also within walking distance, plus the beautiful Jing An Temple of course. Special thanks to the kind staff named Weekend (Zhou Mo) who extended complimentary late check out till 4pm in view of my late flight.
