Shanghai Jing'an District 2-star Hotels

We love the room. Its very clean and well equipped. Housekeeping ladies are lovely. The location is good, close to 2 metro lines by walking or biking.

Overall the lane house is decent set within a lively Shanghai Lane House experience. We lived in 2 for 2 months when we first moved to Shanghai. This was our return trip to revisit our home of 4 yrs. The initial photos for Guisu Homestay with the charming window view doesn’t match the initial sell, but the detailed photos of the actual space does. However it’s smaller than it looks, as the top loft and kitchen counts within the measurement. So if you’re a family of 4 then this is perfect since the middle room will give you space to sit. But if you are 5 with the sofa permanently done up as a bed then it’s tight. All was good except the the shower doors were a little run down and shower was gunky and could use a little redo. All in all a good experience. The host was responsive to our needs but strict on the 12noon checkout. The neighborhood and overall location is unbeatable. Close to great food and served as our center base to revisit the French Concession from Jing An. Definitely a good place if this is your first time in Shanghai.

I had a great stay here! The location is perfect — just a short ride to all the main attractions and entertainment spots, yet the area is incredibly peaceful and quiet. There are plenty of local eateries and cafés nearby, making it super convenient for food and drinks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for both convenience and relaxation!

I stayed in a high-rise building called Yide Apartment, conveniently located about 700-800 meters from Jing'an Temple and easy to find. While the apartment building itself is a bit dated, the room I stayed in was actually quite nice. My room was on the sixth floor, accessible by elevator. It was very quiet here, with no noise experienced either in the evenings or mornings. The host delivered water and disposable slippers, and the room was well-equipped, even including a refrigerator. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service.

Located in Building 7 of Xinchangcheng, the B&B is conveniently located near Metro Line 1 and offers a bright and spacious feel. The lobby's floor-to-ceiling windows create a bright, spacious atmosphere, and the decor is comfortable. The suite is one of the smaller rooms, and the bathroom features a smart toilet and a stylish shower. The air conditioning is also excellent. When the sunset sunlight streams into the lobby, it feels like a vacation. I'd definitely stay here again if I had the chance. HOME stay is a nice stay.

Pro - Place are located 200meter (not more that 50 step from West Nanjing Station Exit3) - Place are close to a loot of convenience store and popular restaurants and coffee and bakery shop. - Place Look Exactly like a photo. (It was nice and Clean) like it came out of Pinterest. - Pillow and blankets are very soft and comfy - room have toothbrush soap and shampoo (and detergent) for guests - I had ask for more pillows and blankets and owners are being very nice about it. - I add wechat to to to talk about a place and how to get there there are very supportive. Con - Room are located in old building (CIMB Bank West Nanjing) and have to entrance building to the back door(I thing it is a door that people in building use to collect there garbage and it was so spooky (it was dark and old)) - building have very small and old elevator that i was too afraid to use.

Stayed in the French style apartment. Really convenient location, right near Jingan subway stop and all the action, lots of malls and places to eat. New appliances, excellent hot water pressure, there was even a clothing dryer. The gated community it’s in is also very quiet at night, I slept really well.

Hygiene: Very clean Environment: Very quiet, I slept well every night, and the buildings outside the window are also very beautiful. The stay was very comfortable. Service: The service was very good. The auntie put away the jellycat and AirPods that I forgot to pack and put them in the bag. I was touched. We all said that we would definitely book here next time. It may be a little far from the subway station, but it is very convenient to ride a bicycle to Jing'an Temple and other places. I will book here next time!!!

Be aware! The apartment we stayed at was next to a school playground/ sports field. Every morning we woke up around 7:30 to loud music and voices through speakers from the school. This would last for a long time and it was very loud. We couldn’t sleep in any single day. Pros : Great location, metro not too far away and convenience store nearby. Central. Outside little terrace is great to smoke or sit at night. Cons : To start with the matresses were terrible. The top bed was basically unusable, you could feel the steel inside the mattress. It hurts when you lay on it, so we had to share the bottom bed. Which also had quite a thin/hard mattress. Cockroaches, we don’t care but they’re here. May be an issue for some people. There are pans but no cutlery/dishes/glasses. So be aware of this. We were disappointed to see this was not available. Toilet clogged multiple times. Conclusion : A cheap stay, at a good location. But these beds are terrible.

Location - 5-8 mins' walk from Exit 1 of Jing An Temple Station. Straight down from Paramount, next to 1788 Square. Tall, green building. Easy to find. Room - Studio apt converted accommodation (similar to Airbnb). Comes with a small kitchen, big room, proper fridge, washing machine and microwave. What I like about the room is the full length/height windows that make the room looks bright and lively. The spacious area is also very useful for my packing at the end of my trip. Service - Top notch. The landlady, Jing-Jie (Big Sister Jing), David, and the rest of the team makes you feel more like a friend rather than a mere customer. Though they speak limited English, they will do their best to understand you using their translation machine, or by some bilingual guests / friends whom they might be hosting at the office when you arrive. Feel free to ask them about where to eat, visit or play. They are like a walking encyclopedia and happy to share these info with you! They own quite a number of units in the building with different sizes and styles. The room I got is the more local setup unit. The locals prefers flatter pillows and harder beds. So if you prefer higher pillows and/or softer beds, can try to request for additional pillows or quilt covers beneath your blankets in advance. It is advisable to contact them via wechat in advanced if you are arriving very late or early so they can prepare for your arrival. Will definitely stay here again when I next visit the city. It's a home away from home! Xia-ya-nong!
