The hotel, while slightly older, is thoughtfully designed, offering a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The service is consistently polite and professional, adding to the overall positive experience. Its location is excellent, situated next to a beautiful park and within walking distance of numerous shopping options. The spa is well-designed and provides a tranquil setting for relaxation. We particularly appreciated the gender-separated whirlpool, allowing for some peaceful, personal time. Overall, the combination of service, design, and location makes this hotel a pleasant and restful stay.

Amazing service. I have stayed in a dozen 5-star hotels in Shanghai. This is the best, at least for business travellers.

What a spa. Great Finnish sauna and steam bath. Divided for men and women and even a hot water mini pool. Already missing it.

We reached early at 12 so we couldn’t check in. However the hotel helped to bring the luggage up to the room while we were out, so when we came back in the evening to get the key, we could go straight up to the room. Room amenities are good, with free mini bar drinks replenished daily. The lobby cookies are free too and very delicious! On the first night, we had problems with the Bluetooth speaker as customers from other rooms kept connecting to our speaker, giving us a shock when music played out of nowhere. The hotel was very apologetic and gave us a fruit platter and a small bottle of red wine to make up for it. On the first night they also did turn down service for us, which was very nice of them. But they didn’t do it on the second night - would have been an even better experience if they did so. When we checked out we also asked them to help with the luggage and the staff (a young guy) who came to assist us was extremely helpful. He even helped to arrange our luggage in the car boot (we did have a lot of lugagge)! The food delivery locker outside the hotel lobby was also very useful! I made v good use of it. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5/5 is that it gets very dark at night between the first main door and the second door that enters into the hotel lobby. The doors are also very heavy, I assume to block out the wind. Sometimes there’s a staff there to help with the door, but often there isn’t. So when it’s dark and you have to mind your step and still have to push open the heavy door, it’s really quite frustrating.

First time at the PuLi in shanghai and I gotta say what a treat. Very appreciative of the staff professionalism. Particularly Camille who made my stay even better with upgrading my room when I arrived, and for the little gifts all along my stay. The room was immaculate, this management must be really religious about cleanliness! Loved the Spa area, even more that I could enjoy it alone most of the time I was there. I will be back, thank you Camille and your team.

Puli hotel is located in Jing An, a vibrant commercial district in west bund. The hotel arrival is well designed and secluded, away from the busiest of Shanghai street. The hotel interior is nice and welcoming. Staff is attentive and friendly. Something to comment on the customer experience. I left my stuff in the Pudong Art museum after a visit, and the hotel send their staff to get it back for me - with me paying the cab fare only.

Puli epitomises the Shanghai style with great spaces and attention to detail, the long bar and outlook are fabulous as well as spa and swimming pool outstanding

It’s indeed an urban resort hotel but it’s only on design. Hospitality from the staffs should be further improved. The issue is the reception just offered me to upgrade the rooms with some costs while I’m the first time customer which unable to know if the hotel match with the expectation of worthiness. This small action of upsell makes me a little bit disappointing. At around 5pm, the staff came in to clean up and make the room neat but I just checked in at 4pm. The staff ring the bell 3 times in 5 seconds and tried to enter the room while I was sleeping. I was quite shock and made a constructive feedback to the reception. No follow up from there onwards and no one provides any explanation later. The hotel has a superb strategic location. It’s walkable to the Jing’an Temple and subway station, adjacent to good commercial area of Jing’an Kerry Center which has many international F&B brands like Shake Shack, Blue Bottle, Piebird. The commercial area also has some modern Chinese bistro like GUI Bistro, Cucurucu which offered great hot cooked food (not sweet dish like local Shanghainese taste). The room is spacious, good view of the city, comfortable mattress and have good sound proof.

The service provided by hotel staff is excellent. Also at an excellent location and travel by mass transit railway is available just next door. Breakfast is abundant with great variety. Very clean room. There are plenty of shopping malls around and we particularly like the French restaurant La Creperie nearby. The only one drawback is that the lobby entrance and drop off area is a bit small and cars have to queue up to get in all the time.

Would like to say special thanks to Chief Concierge Mike Cai for efficiently and promptly helping me out with a health issue. I suddenly got a very sore back, accidentally mentioned it to him at the reception, and he immediately picked up the issue and arranged a special bandage ordered online and delivered in 40 min to my room. It saved my stay in Shanghai. I was pleasantly surprised by such great and timely support. Many thanks and best regards to the Puli Team.

One of the best pool and spa in downtown. Lobby bar is still a scene with good enough service. In room dinning is mediocre.

Nice place to stay and will come back again surely;)
