I recently had a stay at Starway hotel and it was a pleasant experience overall. The room provided was both spacious and immaculate, which is always a top priority for me. The front desk staff, especially the lady I interacted with, was cooperative and ensured a smooth check-in. A notable feature was the attached convenience shop, adding to the ease of access for any essentials. However, the breakfast offerings could be improved. I found myself heading to a nearby shop for basics like corn, milk, and bread. Additionally, a small suggestion for the management would be to place the toothbrush and toothpaste in the washroom rather than the reception. This small gesture would enhance guest convenience. Despite these minor areas for improvement, I'm overall very satisfied with my stay. I would rate it a 9/10 and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The stay was decent; I wasn't seeking luxury, just a comfortable place for a couple of nights. Unfortunately, the room had a strong cigarette odor and wasn't very clean, with used toilet paper and a dirty floor in the bathroom. On the bright side, the staff at the front desk were incredibly kind and efficient, facilitating my check-in within minutes, assisting with document printing, and even charging my scooter. They truly made the experience enjoyable. However, I would appreciate it if the rooms were cleaner and had a more pleasant scent.

for business traveler.. it's okay but the smell coming out from the septic tank is sadly nauseating. I had to buy an air freshener so I can use the bathroom.

This hotel isn’t clean. There was lots of mosquitoes and dust in the room and I couldn’t sleep for most of the night because of this.

The hotel is really located far from the metro station (but this is written in the hotel description). The metro can be reached in 10-15 minutes on foot. Shanghai city center is approximately 1 hour away by metro, and Pudong Airport is 2 hours away by metro. The hotel is not new, shabby in places (old floors, torn curtains). The staff does not speak English, but is responsive and tries to help (helped call a taxi, warmed up food, put food in the refrigerator) I do not recommend buying breakfast, because... it's just a packet of boiled milk, a questionable bun, a banana and a boiled egg. The package is given out in the morning at the reception desk, and it is impossible to change the set of products. You can also pour tea/coffee next to the reception desk and, if you have time, grab a cupcake (but it is limited). There are many food outlets nearby and it is better to go have breakfast there.
