We zijn al eerder geweest, maar sinds dit jaar een nieuwe kok, Basiru. Het eten is echt heerlijk, zeker voor Afrikaanse begrippen. De bediening is top, met name Dawda Marong , hij heeft ons weer in de watten gelegd. Ebrima Touray zorgde dat we een fijn plekje en badlakens hadden bij het zwembad of aan het strand! Het onderhoud zou wat beter kunnen, maar al met al weer een super fijne vakantie in Gambia!

We really recommend this hotel to everyone. The people are so nice and they will do everything to make your stay pleasent. Bakary sanyang and Gerda were specific are friends to us! The beach is close and at night you can experience plenty of entertainment.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in Kalimba. Super fijn personeel en bij de bediening werkt een super lieve meid Aisha. Lekker 30gr in januari, dus ff bijtanken. Enige nadeel van Gambia vind ik wel dat iedereen wat van je wil en zogenaamd je vriend is. Maar dan komen ze ineens met een zielig verhaal en willen geld, daar werd ik op den duur een beetje zat van. En denk er goed om dat bij aankomst op de luchthaven je zelf je koffers in beheer houd en ze ook zelf in de transferbus zet want anders willen ze daar geld/fooi voor hebben en zijn ze ook erg brutaal. Wij waren overdonderd door het hele gebeuren en daardoor al €15 lichter toen we in de transferbus zaten.

Perfect hotel voor je vakantie. Mooie locatie. Zeer vriendelijk personeel dat er alles aan doet om het naar je zin te maken. Het eten is geweldig!!! De kamers zijn ruim, mooi en heel erg schoon (met dank aan Lamin👍) Speciale dank aan Catherina van guest relations en Omar voor het indelen van de kamers. They are lovely 👌👌👌

Tired hotel, in need of an overhaul & grubby. Food decidedly averag... Whilst we had an amazing holiday in The Gambia the Tamala & kalimba (next door to each other) are decidedly average to poor hotels. The grounds are really lovely & well kept. The staff are fabulous ESPECIALLY "PENDA" who works in the restaurant in Kimbala, what a wonderful lady, always a smile on her face & always very attentive. A ray of sunshine & asset to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel rooms are tired & in desperate need of updating. The rooms were not clean, smelly & rusty which is a shame as they could be so nice. The manager at the Tamala made up a story about our room not being ready due to an issue but I truly believe so many people had complained & the rooms that should have been available were not. His answer was "this is Africa" which yes it is Africa, but I paid for my holiday in GBP£f The restaurant was like school dinners but enough choice, food very average & only 1 local dish. The BBQ night ridiculous as it catered for the whole hotel so was a massive queue. & was so over cooked. Over all in need of a desperate overhaul & improvement for the food.

De kamers zijn goed goed personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam Ook als je een wond heb vakkundige receptie medewerkers Restaurant medewerkers zijn perfect Aisha en Catherine Het restaurant heeft een metamorfose ondergaan en alles is vervangen Het eten is vele malen beter dan vorig jaar En zelfs de brug naar het strand is vervangen

Hoi prima verblijf met ruime kamers en zeer attent personeel met name abrima the pool Guy. Op wat kleine zaken na zoals drankjes niet geheel op temperatuur en bv een defect koffie apparaat bij een bar, dus geen irisch koffie. Ik ga zeker terug
