Fijne plek! Lekker ontbijt en goede locatie vlakbij strand! Gezellig lief personeel! Mooie tuin met bloemen en palmbomen. Zwembad is schoon met goede handdoekservice, een bar met lekker betaalbaar eten en ook is er een pooltafel. We hebben fijne tijd gehad!

My experience at Bamboo Gardens was absolutely fantastic! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay special. The location was perfect—just a two-minute walk to the beach, with great restaurants, a main gym, and convenient taxi services right at the doorstep. The breakfast was delicious, and they even prepared a special meal to accommodate my dietary needs, which I truly appreciated. Everything about my stay was seamless, and I can't wait to return. This was our 22nd visit to Gambia. This time we chose a budget hotel again. Very disappointing. In all those years we have not come across such a mediocre hotel as this one. We had booked a studio. Room very dated and a jumbled mess. Fortunately a good bed. Bathroom moldy and leaking after showering. Reported to reception that everything was very mediocre. They claimed that you had air conditioning (5 euros per day), kitchen utensils and accessories. You just had no use for it because nothing was complete. Nothing is being done about it, since a new complex is being built. Must improve in the future. Doesn't change the fact that you are now in a shabby place. Staff generally friendly, but very amicable and noisy towards each other. Some of the visitors to this hotel have known each other for a long time and that is noticeable from the noisy greetings and the conversation about how drunk they have been and whether they had scored that evening. Fortunately, this does not apply to all men. Many single men come for the entertainment with the local ladies. The hotel does not put a straw in their way to take the ladies to the room. Tui would do well to take a very critical look at this location. Give it 2.5 stars. It is not in proportion to what is offered and not in proportion to other locations that get e.g. 3 stars but offer much more. The quality manager of Tui has some work to do. After four days we went to another hotel at our own expense. Fortunately we had a nice time there. For us never again Bamboe Garden Hotel.

I went one time. They dont pay the staff enough thats wy i put 1 star. They get 50 euro a month and some of them get 35 euro a month. If a employer is sick they dont continue paying them. It is modern slevery. The owner is from Libie and the staff from Libie get 10 times more then the Gambian people. I tought slavery was something from the history but in this hotel it stil excist.

Apartment was good as well as the bathroom and pool. The beautiful double bed was a concrete block finished with wood and a good mattress on top. Large TV available but it did not work, but very good internet everywhere. Friendly staff everywhere. Breakfast was meager and always the same, bread to toast and pieces of baguette, jam, eggs, cheese and fruit and was always replenished in small quantities. (but it is and remains Gambia of course) Given that it is not located on the sea, you are obliged to go outside and rent a lounger at a bar or fruit / fruit juice tent. You can eat something in the street, with a multitude of tourist taxis, but the Senegambia dot (if you know the way +/- 400 m on foot or taxi) offers many possibilities for good food.

The first room bi had was stinking of sewage i refused to take it so he put me in another room for the night ,then next afternoon he moved me to room 10 and when i saw the shower room it was disgusting water coming down the walls from above rooms big holes in the ceiling plaster falling down no fridge which I had to pay for the shower room mats were dirty and mouldy i threw them outside the front that's the only time they were cleaned in 2 weeks the pillow cover was ripped the cover for the boiler fell down as you can see from the pictures I said to the manager to come and see it and he i will talk to manager 3 times i complained nothing was done ,outside my back window there was an open sewage manhole breakfast first morning was cold and not very nice so I was eating out ball the rest of my holiday never stay there again i booked all this with tui,

Room was reasonable, but 1 time without water, bathroom smelled terrible sometimes… polar night was ok, friendly people, breakfast was not good, bread always hard, almost everything always gone, no it was not great… don't think we'll go there again (but it is and remains Gambia of course so yes…)

Visited this resort again this year. Unfortunately I checked out earlier than planned. reasons? Things have happened that you don't want as a guest. Besides the fact that the resort is full of mosquitoes, what bothered me most was some of the reception staff. I know most of the employees. all nice and helpful. but some, like receptionists Fahou and Faizal, have to go back to school to learn how to deal with guests. they are not aware that Gambia lives from tourism.
