Seoul Hotels with Pools

The hotel is very new, the location is good, the hotel breakfast is rich in variety, quite satisfied! On the second night of my stay, the bathroom leaked. After feedback to the hotel front desk, I was told to change rooms. Since I had a lot of luggage, I was unwilling to change rooms and hoped to apply for a late checkout because the leakage did bring a bad experience. However, the hotel finally accommodated the delay. Regarding the check-out request, I am still satisfied with the result and will choose to stay again next time!

The stay this time round fell short compared to previous stays as basic necessities like toothbrush, toothpaste and razor now comes with a fee to “promote recycling”. In my opinion, for guests like myself who came without preparing, it kind of makes no sense since buying them from the hotel or the convenience store wouldn’t make any difference anyway - it would eventually be thrown away upon leaving the hotel

I started using it in early November. You can see the autumn leaves of Seoul Tower and Namsan Park beautifully, and you can enjoy the scenery while drinking alcohol in your room. The lobby was decorated with miniature Christmas figurines, which were very cute and I'm glad I was able to see them.

It was next to Cityhall station and convenient if you are taking trains most of the time. The airport limousine stops right at the hotel and is good that we don’t have to lug the luggage to the AirPort Express. There was a ice skating rink just in front of the hotel when we were there.

Wonderful service, great staff, cozy rooms, warm atmosphere with the festivities from the holiday season. Thanks always for such welcoming staff that immediately brings smile and joy as soon as you walk into the hotel and at the check in desk. It’s always a pleasure to have small conversations with the front desk staff.

Only problem was there was only one functional elevator. The hotel was full, and both the guests and the staff were sharing the elevator, often times with carts or lots of luggage. We had to wait an unreasonable amount of time every time we needed access to and from the 3rd floor. The problem was not resolved in close to one week during our stay. Dropped our daughter at ASU for her freshman year of college.

Value priced hotel if visiting apgujeong. AirPort Express bus stops nearby. Photo of hotel taken from actual express bus stop heading towards airport. Be careful anout bus schedule though. Website may not be up to date. Late at night I called front desk to set up wake up call for the next morning only to be told it can’t be done because reception are not working at this time. Thought that was odd Check out was a breeze. Luggage drop off counter was also very efficient.

The room is exactly the same as I stayed 10 years ago. Rooms and amenities are dated. The service is average, no personal touches, didn’t even get help with my luggage at taxi drop off. Still using small bottles of shampoo & conditioners, plastic water bottles. No Netflix or even connection to your phone. I would give this Grand Hyatt at 4* hotel only.

The view is the best thing. Room is quite small. I was a bit surprised by the service. When I arrive at fancy hotel, usually a porter automatically outs my bags on a trolley and the next time I see them is in my room. Here I carried my luggage the whole way. Nobody even offered to take my bags. I stayed here in 2022 and on that occasion the service was befitting of the Mondrian name. The room is acceptable. Poor selection of English TV channels. Not a fan of the separated bathroom concept. But the bed is very comfortable. And the view is gorgeous. Housekeeping and room service was efficient. Location is very convenient if you like Iteawon.

The hotel was clean and the facilities was very good with kids playarea, indoor swimming pool. it would be perfect if the staff would to be more friendly and welcoming. Location is good, near subway and close to airport bus station.
