We booked a room with a king bed but were given a room with twin beds instead. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception desk, even though it clearly stated that staff would be available until 22:00. Instead, there was only a self check-in machine.
We tried contacting customer service and only got a response after an hour. When we asked why our room was changed, they simply replied, “We thought you may like it.” Apparently, they assumed we would prefer a downgraded room, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
Breakfast was included, but there were only two small tables in the lobby with no proper seating area. The room itself was extremely small, and the bathroom was practically unusable for showering.
To make matters worse, the price was very high. We ended up booking another hotel for the next day—spacious, in a much better area, and for half the price.
