First of all, I made a hotel reservation without checking the number of people as usual (I live in Busan, so I stayed at the Seoul Hotel for the college entrance exam in Seoul)
I made a reservation for my friend's daughter's college entrance exam instead, and just in case, I contacted the hotel directly an hour later and asked if I needed any documents to stay since she is a minor and a high school senior, but they refused to let me stay, saying that minors cannot stay.
So I requested to cancel the reservation, but they said that this reservation is non-cancellable and that I cannot cancel.
I can't believe it. It's like throwing away 174,000 won on the street.
I don't know if I didn't call or check in advance, but other hotels allow you to stay if you submit supporting documents, but this hotel just refused to let you stay and didn't even accept a cancellation. Does that make sense?
I will report this to the consumer reporting center to see if this is true. The issue is not whether I get a refund or not, but I am so angry at this absurd response that I am going crazy.
