Grandma is enthusiastic about cooking and delicious food. The house is clean and warm, and it is very comfortable to sleep at night, giving people a feeling of traveling back in time. The room was relatively small, the bathroom was so hot that I was suspicious of life, and it was inconvenient to climb the stairs. Don't expect convenient transportation if you live in Bukchon. It was all a 90-degree slope. Fortunately, I didn't have a suitcase, otherwise it would be straightforward. Just crawl. It’s so hot in summer in Korea

Bukchon living experience
We are family of four and all of us enjoyed this special opportunity to stay in one of this Korea Traditional Bukchon House for 2 nights. We booked a room with private toilet, it was clean and neat, and spacious enough to open our suitcases.
There’s minibus service that stops in front of the house, which takes you to and fro the nearest metro Anguk station. Otherwise it’s about 8mins walk to Anguk station from the house.
Gyeongbokgung is within walking distance from the house, there are many nice cafes and shops to visit on the way. The hosts are a pair of old couples who are very friendly and helpful. The can communicate in Mandarin and even teaches us some simple Korean languages!
They make us Kimbap and Korean Pancake as breakfast, which were very tasty!

Such a beautiful and cozy hanok stay! My stay was short but the time there was lovely. The hosts were so sweet and welcoming. Everything is tidy, fully stocked, and explained thoroughly. I’m sad I didn’t get to experience the breakfast with them but will definitely come back next time. The surrounding area is super beautiful to walk around during the day and night. Highly recommend!

Ms. Helen exemplifies the Korean tradition from the house architecture, custom greeting, food, no shoe policy, facilities from bed, bathroom, shower/sink and toilet was super impressive! The breakfast was outstanding from red bean porridge, and veggie pancake. The location was convenient for us to experience the village, food especially the fish looking ice cream cone topped with ice cream. also the palaces and hambok rentals were all walking distance.
