Hotel Kuretakeso Insadong

I stayed here in early November. The staff were all kind and spoke Japanese, so I felt at ease. I was told that the heating was not available at check-in (the entire building was closed due to renovation work), and I wish they had told me at the time of booking, but in the end, it was available as soon as I entered the room. The room was clean and cleaned every day, so I didn't mind it. I was glad that I could watch YouTube and Netflix. However, when filling the bathtub with hot water, black mold-like things peeled off and floated from the shower hose. The price was reasonable, and it was within walking distance of Anguk, so it was good for eating and sightseeing. On the last day, I bought a London Bagel Museum first thing in the morning, returned to the hotel, got ready, and checked out. I would like to stay here again because it was easy to get to anywhere.

I chose it because of the location. The price rises on weekends, so it's not a good value for money. Unfortunately, the large public bath is still not available.

I booked two rooms to go with a friend. It was great that the rooms were next to each other. The rooms were simple and had the bare minimum of amenities in a clean condition! There was a coin laundry nearby, so it looked like we could do our laundry! The staff were polite when we checked in and out, and it was nice that they spoke Japanese! The area around the hotel gets very lively as the night goes on, and it was nice to be able to stroll around the food stalls and bars.

The hotel was located right next to Jongno 3-ga Station, Exit 5, but I ended up taking a different exit at first, so I ended up wandering around... 😭😭😭

It was even cleaner than when I stayed there before, and the staff were all so kind and I felt at ease! It's also easily accessible!
