Seoul Dongdaemun-gu 2-star Hotels

As first time travelers to Seoul, this hotel was a pleasant stay. The price for one full week was very affordable and fit right within our budget. The room was very comfortable and allowed us to get ample rest. It was very simple to check in and check-out, and the morning breakfast service was nice. We had the chance to enjoy a breakfast on our last day before checking out. There are so many restaurant and convenient stores nearby as well. I would consider visiting again during another trip.

This was my seventh visit to Seoul. I mainly wanted to visit Chuncheon and Gangneung. I prefer traditional markets, not shopping, and quiet. So I chose to stay near the Cheongnyangni transportation hub. I chose this hotel on the spur of the moment and it was surprisingly good! The hotel has no front desk, so check-in is self-service. The facilities are very complete, with a laundry, kitchen, and luggage storage on the first floor. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was odor-free, and the dining table and refrigerator were quiet, so I slept peacefully. Cheongnyangni offers direct access to Chuncheon by subway and the KTX to Gangneung. Buses are also well-connected, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. The three surrounding traditional markets satisfy all your culinary needs. The museum at Yangnyeong Market and the Starbucks at Jingdong Market are both worth checking out. The hotel is also cheaper than in more popular areas, making it a great value. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, and I especially recommend the decades-old knife-cut noodle shop. There are also CU, GS25, and 7-Eleven convenience stores nearby. The new hotel map hasn't been updated yet. After getting off at Cheongnyangni Station, you can directly open the address on Ctrip using Baidu Maps for walking directions (Amap doesn't work well in Korea).

Everything was fine. The location is great, the area is nice, there are 2 metro lines nearby, lots of buses. It's close to the center, there are city and drug markets nearby. There is a park along the river nearby. We got to a special breakfast on Sunday, delicious and filling 👍 The downside is the temperature. It's unbearably stuffy in the showers and toilets. The same problem in the room at night, because you can't leave the air conditioner on, it blows right on the bed. Because the air conditioner controls are in Korean, we couldn't adjust the power and direction.

It was very easy to get to, as it only took platform 1 from Seoul Station! I was personally very happy that there was an elevator, and that I could just enter the room without checking in after 3pm! I was able to spend five days there without any inconvenience, and I'm really glad that I chose this place! Thank you very much ( ¨̮ )

非常滿意。 通過空調看到了抱怨,但實際使用後發現空調完全沒有問題,首先非常乾淨。 而且不知道是不是放了香薰精油，香氣非常好！ 我想知道香薰精油的名字~ 呵呵呵下次來韓國的話，好像還會再來。 床上用品和衞生間也沒有污漬和頭髮，非常完美。 好像沒有太大的缺點，如果是這個價格，我無條件地推薦這裏。

The hotel was very clean and nice! It's close to the station, so it's very convenient. There's also a convenience store nearby, which is very convenient.

The price and location of this hotel are very pleasantly surprised and perfect. However, it should be noted that the check-in time of this hotel is shown as 22:00 on Ctrip, but the front desk informed that it is 18:00, which is different from the check-in time of most hotels.

The place looked exactly like the pictures. The room was clean the bathroom was nice! You have your own shower and bathroom with shampoo and body wash that smells good. There’s a water dispenser in the common area which was nice! There was a washing machine I would suggest to put instructions to how to use it and that it’s free to use cause I was confused and was also asked about it by someone else. The person who works there during the room cleaning was really nice and helped me move my bag down stairs together. The building is nice :) There isn’t room cleaning unless you pay another fee. I left my lotion in there and I’m sad. Bed was good and there was a charger to use which was nice! The air conditioner was good and looked new! There’s a roof top too that you can go on just was to hot out! But you can hang line your clothes up there! There’s also a mini fridge and hair dryer to use! You can get extra towels and toilet paper in the common space! The towel is the Korean small towel put that was fine and worked well! The location is a bit far from trains but that’s okay cause it’s right next to a bus stop! The location is also near a smaller neighborhood market which is nice! There’s places to eat and right next to a seven eleven.

A really lovely little hotel, the man who runs it is very friendly and it has a good feel to it. I arrived very late and he was still polite and accommodating. The room and bathroom are clean and small but comfortable. You can’t hear the noise from the station, it’s very quiet. The location is excellent! It takes 2 minutes to walk to Hoeji subway station and then it’s easy to get everywhere. There are convenient shops and restaurants close by. There isn’t WiFi in the rooms but it’s easy to get a data sim card and then it was fast. As a solo female I felt comfortable here and would stay again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is a room in a normal house a short walk from the station (it is not difficult to find once you go there). You have to go up the stairs to get to the room, so it may be difficult for women with large suitcases. I was a little nervous before entering, but the room was clean and well-maintained, even the bathroom, so it was a safe room. Three of us stayed here for three nights, and since there were three rooms and each of us had plenty of space, we were able to spend three days quite comfortably. It was refreshing and fun to spend time like in a Korean drama, eating chicken and other dishes together in the living room in the middle. Above all, the host was very kind and helpful, which impressed me. We communicated by email, and he was very kind and gave me a lot of information, which made my stay even more comfortable. The restaurant (steamed seafood) that he recommended was also kind and delicious, and there were many restaurants, Oryan, DAISO, and even a mart between the station and the inn, so it was convenient even though it was my first time in the city. I would like to use this inn again. Thank you.
