The rooms were very nice and the staff very accommodating. They had great breakfast options and the food and coffee were excellent. I highly recommend Cbh Hardwick Hall Hotel if you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to get away. The grounds are beautiful too.

We enjoyed our stay, the location of our room was good. The only few niggles that we had, was that although the room was clean, it smelt a little bit smokey, it was too hot, we tried turning the radiator down a little but it wouldn't stay down, we did open the window, and the pillows were too hard for me. But for the 1 night we stayed it was ok.

We very much enjoyed our stay here, with a comfortable and well appointed bedroom and good food in the restaurant. The great bonus was the beautiful park and lakeside walk through the very extensive grounds. It is a wonderful place to be for those who are interested in nature and the setting of a hotel. The only downside was loud wedding music that went on in the marquee in the grounds until late at night - that we could not escape in our room which faced the marquee.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Stayed at the hotel for one night, wish it had been longer. Had a dinner, bed and breakfast package, including a bottle of prosecco in our room on arrival. The room was gorgeous, the biggest bed I've ever seen and super comfy. As to the bathroom, large bath, separate shower and 2 sinks , fab! The room overlooked the lake and Mausoleum ideal for sitting and enjoying the prosecco. We ate in the grill room, food was lovely with one of the best fillet steaks I have every had. Breakfast was buffet style with everything you need. There are some lovely walks in the grounds. All staff were very helpful and friendly. We cannot wait to return

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was lovely and a beautiful view over the lake. We attended a function and the food and service were excellent, the standards continued at breakfast and ensured that we had the most relaxing weekend.

Quite a frosty reception. Nobody actually sat on reception and it was as if we were interruption the girl's chat with a colleague. Lovely room, but furniture dated and shabby. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, broken sleep all night. Breakfast served was not freshly cooked. Bacon like leather, black pudding so dry it was inedible sausage tasted awful, poached egg was burst and turned upside down hoping it wouldn't be noticed, everything was lukewarm. Coffe was barely warm and no coffee pot! We went for breakfast at 9am and it was considered late, the staff were saying, oh well only 2 more tables to come. Clearly they wanted to finish early. Evening meal was nothing special and the menu is expensive.
