Property Description
Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood, known as the "Center of the Universe" meaning close to everything you will want to see. This garden oasis is a beautiful craftsman home built in 1909, with a private patio and an outdoor gas firepit, and indoor gas fireplace. This 2+ bedroom, 1500 sq ft house has all the craftsman details, but has been completely brought up to date, and decorated with a chic flair. It is a stunning mix of old and new. Enjoy!
WHY CHOOSE THE BOUTIQUE CHIC GARDEN RETREAT OVER OTHERS?
The Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is the most perfect spot for special occasions and relaxing getaways. It is fun and full of life. It exudes happiness and joy everywhere you look. Whether you are relaxing on the private patio surrounded by flower gardens and huge neighborhood trees, conversing with friends by candlelight around the dining room table, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, reading by the fire in the living room, or getting a good night sleep on a medium firm bed in our air conditioned rooms, your heart will be full.
The Kitchen-
is small but user friendly. It has stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and down draft electric stove. There is a rolling, stainless island and bar stools that can be used as a prep station or working office. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make a nice meal.
Outdoor Patio Area-
is out through the kitchen and back door. The patio area is completely fenced in for privacy and has a gas BBQ and gas firepit. There is also a table for at least 6 to sit at.
Bedrooms-
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, each has a queen bed, closet, luggage rack and hooks and hangers. The rooms are small like many old houses, but have everything you need. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, air conditioning units and fun art on the walls. There is also an iron and ironing board in one of the closets. There is a 3rd makeshift bedroom with a dresser and TV in the basement, with a full size hide a bed that converts to a couch during the waking hours, and acts as a second living room and a place to watch TV
The Living Room-
is a very comfortable space to unwind, looking out at all the pretty trees. You would never know you are in the heart of a big city. There is a gas fireplace, couch and 2 chairs that sit in front of the fire, one on each side of the fire place. The lights are on a dimmer switch, so turn down the lights and relax at the end of your day in front of the fire.
The Dining Room-
is so fun! It has a dining room table with 6 chairs, and parrot wall paper that matches the chairs. The lights dim, the service wear matches, and red and white wine glasses and champagne glasses provided.
The bathroom-
is off the kitchen and back bedroom. It is stocked with fine Turkish towels. Unfortunately there is no bathtub, SHOWER only.
The front porch-
is a nice shady place to sit and watch the happenings of the neighborhood. You are surrounded by trees, so although you are out in the open it is still quite private.
The basement-
has just been updated in 2021. In the basement is an open floor plan with washer and dryer behind a curtain. It is a two room open floor plan. As you enter the basement is a room with a small desk/ table area for somebody needing to work from "home" with privacy. From the desk you can see the tv too. In the other room is a Hide-a-bed couch with a full size hide-a-bed, tv (the same tv you can see from office), & dresser. The basement is just over 400 square feet.
Parking-
Parking is not a problem here. There is always parking right out front or across the street, and it is free.

Family of 5 Visit Seattle
My family and I had a comfortable stay (8 days) at this cozy property in July, 2025. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom had great water pressure, the location was convenient, and the neighborhood was quiet. I also appreciate the quality of cookware in the kitchen because we had dinner at the property each night (Trader Joe's a few minutes away). There are a handful of additional things that I really appreciate about this property such as the close proximity to the park, additional towels/linens, and outdoor BBQ area. Keep in mind that there is only 1 bathroom, and it has a standup shower, so that might be a dealbreaker if you need a bath tub. My twin 9-year olds, 12-year old, wife, and I made it work but it took a little bit of coordinating. After long days exploring the Seattle area, we had very comfortable evenings watching movies in the basement bedroom, playing card games in the living room, enjoying the cool breeze on the front porch, cooking in the back yard, and enjoying meals in the dining room. Really, we had a comfortable and enjoyable time in this home away from home. I'll also add that the decor of the home was cheerful; such a charming and bright place to relax in.I'll end this review by sharing how helpful Alycia (property owner) was with sharing information. I sent her a few text messages about good neighborhoods, schools, and activities in Seattle. She responded with very thoughtful and thorough insights. Sooo nice to have a great host. Many thanks!

Such cute common spaces, adequate bedrooms
It's so well decorated, gorgeous little garden outside. Bedrooms are spare but beds are comfortable and the temperature can be adjusted with air conditioning units in the windows. Basement bedroom is very unfinished, but fine for a teen.
