Disgusting!! Dirty and poorly maintained. Uncomfortable - one thin pillow on the beds. Poor quality furniture - one drawer had to be secured with a sticking plaster. Wiring a total mess! Mould around edge of shower. Rusty lamp stand! Lift still not working after at least four years! Hard work carrying heavy bags up all the stairs. Dreadful! Worst room ever. The place should be closed for decent refurbishments. Not least for just the basics: clean - comfortable - working lift.

My First Choice in Seascale
Superb location on sea front with plenty of parking behind hotel via very narrow alley.
Stayed in Room 3 - stunning view over the beach / bay - comfortable 4 poster bed - plenty of power points - heating controlled via App - excelent wi-fi - limited choice of tv channels.
Food - plenty of - excellent quality.
Staff all very helpful & friendly.
Gets full regularly so book early.

Booked for one night whilst travelling through the Lake District. What a wonderful hotel, on the sea front and with ample parking. The staff are brilliant and the food is reasonably priced and very good too. Comfy, clean rooms and amazing showers. Perfect for walking holidays with beautiful walks along the sea front.

Fantastic place to stay the staff very friendly and helpful carried our cases up the stairs because having to use a walking stick the bedroom was everything you could ask for 1st class the dining room & bar staff very friendly & welcoming the breakfasts and evening meals where also 1st class would recommend to anyone will definitely stay again

I thought the hotel looked a bit bleak from the outside, but inside it is really comfortable, fresh and welcoming. We had a couple of issues with our bikes, and the staff were happy to help us out. We only had breakfast, but it was unlimited and very nice! :-)

We stayed at The Bailey View so we were close to our family, who were camping. The hotel is basic, I think parts of it are ready for a bit of TLC but it was spotlessly clean and the staff were all really nice and friendly. The bulk of the guests seemed to be contractors working close by, but they were nice and friendly too. The bar and restaurant are only open for a couple of hours in the evening, but the food was very nice, plenty to choose from. Breakfast was nice too, again good choice and plenty of it, but it did feel like you were in a works canteen rather than a restaurant. Ideal location to visit the area. We would defiantly stay again.

Before arrival we were advised breakfast on our date would be self service, and if we wished we could move to a local sister hotel. We had specifically chosen a sea view room and decided to stay. Really enjoyed our unique one-night stay - no other guests, no staff. Hotel to ourselves. Loved the hotel, great sea views, great location, highly recommend (but not if you want crowds, or staff). Breakfast was indeed self service, cereals and toast.
