We visited quite a few times for drinks. The garden is nice and the views amazing. The food was basic pub food. But it was hot and freshly cooked. The staff are friendly

We didn’t stay at the pub , but we ate at the restaurant on Sunday the 27 th of July myself and three friends ate at the pub three of us had carvery When we went to the carvery, the server picked up the meat with his bare hands and put it on our plates then went onto the next People. It’s not like me to not say anything but I was totally shocked. When we got back to our table, I went to a member of staff and told them. They said they were reported to management We were not offered a refund for this. I have been in this pub a few times and the food and service has always been lovely but this has really put me off..

Like marie celeste when trying to check in, car park is a tiny joke, be prepared to use punlic parking. Annex room hot stuffy and dim, very small window with street view. Main hotel dark and dingy. Food very poor, breakfast buffet motorway servide standard.

Nice hotel, well situated. Parking is difficult but there is a municipal car park close by if you can't get in to the small one owned by the hotel. We had a room in a separate annex which was on the street. Could be very noisy early in the morning with deliveries etc, but we were getting up early anyway so it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was very good. Main complaint was the prices of the food and drink. £6.95 for a pint of Guinness and £18.60 for bangers and mash are higher that central London prices.

Lovely location, terrible food. Sadly there is a kitchen team here that has no idea what they’re doing, dead uncleaned mussels full of parasites/worms served with toast instead of sourdough . Undercooked raw prawns and Al dente pasta that waved at a pan of boiling water on its way past. When politely raised with manager had to point out the issue with mussels and scrape a worm out to prove a point . Not a sorry or apologise just a blunt refund. Maybe an off day or somewere really out it’s depth … So many good options on this coast. Don’t bother

I wrote a disappointing review for the last time I visited this place for Sunday lunch. I returned this year and I am pleased to say they have brought back their Sunday carvery, available until around 5 pm. The food is excellent and very good value. I actually had a children's portion, even though I'm an adult, as the amount on the plate was ample for me. We went 3 times over the 3 weeks we were in the area as it was delicious and such good value. There was a choice of meat: beef, turkey and pork, yorkshire pud, and plenty of veg and spuds to choose from. Even though it was in July, we didn't have to wait long to be served and there were plenty of tables. Great that dogs are allowed in also.

We stayed 4 nights in a fabulous superior room with balcony. The room was large with a very nice bathroom and the balcony was perfect to enjoy the view across the harbour out to the Farnes in the sunshine with free drinks using the Green Deal offer. We ate in the bar the first night but were not impressed. The menu is very average pub fayre with little local influence or produce i.e. seafood dishes, apart from standard fish & chips. Similarly at breakfast I was disappointed not to find kippers available here on the NE coast. Otherwise the breakfast buffet was okay but additional dishes were all chargeable extras. Nonetheless, the bar area including outdoor area and beer garden are very popular and busy from early morning through till late evening (weather permitting outdoors!). We found the staff to be quite efficient and friendly. Parking is limited to around 20 spaces so it's pot luck if you get a space, and getting in and out of spaces is a challenge! Otherwise there are two close by council car parks where you can get an hour free with a ticket from the machine or using PaybyPhone app. Paid parking stops at 1800 and any paid for time left on your ticket is rolled over to re-start at 0800 the following morning! I've posted a separate review about the Northumberland Coast which is indeed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty!

Stayed for 2 nights from the 11th of July and personally could not fault anything, we were in room 45 in the annex part just to the side of the car park ( which we couldn't park in as there wasn't any room but not a problem just paid for parking instead ) our room was a budget room but it was spacious, tidy and very comfortable there were 2 small opening windows and a fan provided which was welcome as it was a very hot weekend, breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice, witnessed a arrogant person complain saying he wanted hash browns that looked edible, there was nothing wrong with them I had a full breakfast both mornings and loved it, the staff were very helpful particularly a young girl who obviously loves dogs as she was lovely to ours and made a point of speaking to people who also had dogs with them, we had our evening meal which was lovely and not cold at all and also the Carvery on the Sunday after we checked out, I think some people expect too much and love to complain, we will certainly stay again as we love seahouses and have called in the pub every time we have visited, someone complained about having to order food and drinks at the bar well it's not hard and if you are outside you can order your drinks from the table without having to go back in.

Surprising variety of comments. Location brilliant, room 19 family room was large and great views of the harbour. Parking poor, breakfast was ok, order poached or scrambled eggs to get fresh eggs. Coffee wow just get some machines in. Food expensive, small portions not hot. Now to staff, senior staff either absent or not identifiable. Alll meals and drinks to be ordered£ at the bar, not the quickest service. There is a lack of hospitality staff appear uninterested and clearing tables is slow. Finally cleanliness not great. Won’t be back.
